• Make The Senate Pass A Budget
It is the law of the land that the senate of the united states pass a budget each year. the current senate has not passed a budget for over three years. they are breaking the law. It is time the american public ''demand'' a budget be passed in accordance with existing law......or law senators not be paid.

  • Tell It Like It Is
The real truth behind the scarcity of jobs. The president has presented a jobs bill that would put millions of Americans back to work, but the house refuses to cooperate. There should be funding to run this ad all over the country to be sure all Americans know that the house has made it their business to make sure the president fails. Even though their plan is failing, the country should never forget those eleven hateful words.

  • Equal access to the voting booth.
Ohio has actively created increased access to voting in areas that tend to lean republican and decreasing access to voting in areas that tend to lean democratic. Now that there is a national spotlight on this activity, they are speaking of equality, but they have already established an unequal system. Please demand equal access.

  • Soledad O'brien should be the moderator in the Presidential debates
We Americans need a strong journalist who is not afraid to ask tough questions and recoginize bull shit when they hear it! I nominate Soledad O'Brien and not Candy Crowley, to moderate the presidential debates.

  • Change the law so everyone has a civil union
I have worked as a family law legal assistant in California for nearly 20 years and I now believe marriage fails because it is based on religious ideals that do not fit everyone. Our U.S. Constitution's First Amendment says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...." If we replace the word "marriage" with "civil union" in our laws granting rights to married persons and let marriage be something churches do, we will separate church and state, and we will all have the same civil rights and religious freedom that the Constitution guarantees.

  • SENATE/CONGRESS SAME BENIFITS ASPUBLIC
IT IS WELL KNOW THAT ELECTED OFFICALS GET BENEFITS THAT THE REST OF DON'T. I SAY WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE PUBLIC IS GOOD FOR THEM. THEY NO LONGER GET SPECIAL PRIVILEDGES. THEIR BENEFITS ARE BASED ON HOW LONG THEY SERVED NOT THE SAME FOR ALL. THEY DO NOT GET TO SET THEIR OWN SALARIES. WE THE PEOPLE DO.

By signing my petition, please help me to get attention from our high-end government agencies to hear me that my two children, my 85 year old mother and I would not end up in the street! Please, it is urgent and very crucial because there is a time limit. Thank you. • Bring back The Equal Rights Admendment
This petition would bring the Admendment to the forefront again in order to obtain the final 3 states needed to satisfy the total of 38 states needed to finalize ratification. All American women would benefit from the ratification of this admendment. It is becoming clear that women's rights are under fire by politicians because they do not recognize the Constitution as applying to women, therefore making women subject to discrimination (Anton Scalia has said as much). Much of the manipulating of women's lives by politicians would go away if this admendment became part of our governing document.

  • Pass a budget for the middle class!
Like most middle-class Americans, I'm falling behind, while corporations and rich families are stealing our nation's wealth. Let's rebuild the American economy, while ending corporate control and corruption of government. We're calling on Congress to seriously consider the People's Budget.
