Protect NJ's children not their predatorsNJ Lawmakers, Governor Christie: Pass bills S1651 and A2405 and make them law in NJ. Eliminate the statute of limitations for child sexual abuse and hold these predators and the institutions that harbor them accountable. Denying child victims of sexual abuse their day in court must stop. Which needs our protection more, our children or sexual predators and the institutions which harbor them?963 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Mark Crawford

Keep the Federal Government Out of State Marijuana LawsMy brother was sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for the first-time non-violent conspiracy to distribute marijuana. Many organizations and states have voted on legalizing marijuana for medical uses. California is one. The Justice Department and other federal agencies have been busy spending a lot of taxpayer money to raid and close down these state approved operations. I want the federal government to cease and desist in their war against state's rights to set their own laws.141 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Shirley Miller

Ban open styrofoam floatsHere in South Florida, many people use open styrofoam floats to work around boats. All these floats end up breaking down into their smallest particle or individual beads. I spend all my free time cleaning the waterways in Ft. Laud of plastic, and the amount of styrofoam beads in the canals is epidemic. For sure there are other options.435 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Carlos Macias

Support Sheltered Cats and DogsThere are to many cats and dogs euthenized every day in every state across America that would have a much better chance of being adopted if pet shops/stores were not allowed to sell cats/kittens and dogs/puppies. When a party wishes a cat or a dog, visit any local animal humane shelter and take one home. It's not the fault of the animal that it is where it is. All of my pets have come from my local animal humane socitey shelter and I have never never been disappointed. I walk in and ask to see the dog or cat that has been there the longest and will generally take that one home. The cost will bd equal or less than most pet store purchases and the pet from the shelter will be spayed/neutered, will have it's required shots and will be collared w/a current I.D. tag.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Doug Burger

Expanded VotingIt is necessary to defend expanded voting hours to more than Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. As citizens of the United States of America it is our constitutional right to vote. If shortened voting hours are placed into affect many Americans will not get to vote; and ironically, it would be the working class who lost their voice.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sharon Proudfoot

Secret pacts for EducationThe money that is used for campaign adds prove that there is a lot of money that could be used to help the people of America. My proposal is that for every dollar spent on a campaign add an additional dollar be spent to upgrade the schools of America. There might even be enough to make college affordable.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jean Carroll

Ending waste of unopened food at public schoolsI was upset to see unused sealed food being thrown away after lunch by children at Merced Elememtary at West Covina, Ca. I was told by the Principal they are not allowed to return items that were not used back to the kitchen due to health regulations. Items were not perishable and could be given to homeless organizations. Besides the waste we are teaching our children that wasting food is acceptable.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by zaida valdez

STOP Insurance Power PlaysDid you know that car insurance companies charge higher premiums if you are single? When I called my auto insurance company because they had me listed on the renewal as "married", I was told my premium would increase by $56.00/year. 3 other big insurance companies told me the same thing. No one has statistics showing singles are a higher risk.21 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Leslie Mahoney

Cut medical care for retire Congressmen and SenatorsUnited States Congressmen and Senators are wealthy and should pay for healthcare. Retiree from Congress and the Senate do not pay into their medical insurance unlike the common tax payer.Who not only pays for SSI and Medicare also pay taxes and for life time health insurance for our Congressmen,Senators and their families. By cutting spending for free healthcare to these groups we could save money and quit stealing from retired Americans who have paid taxes and into SSI/Medicare their whole adult lives and have a right to expect to use these programs.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Julie Noblitt-Howell
