• Support expanded early voting in Franklin County
Ohio Secretary of State John Husted is considering limiting early voting throughout Ohio to weekdays between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Such a move would disproportionately affect minority and working voters. Please help call upon the Franklin County Board of Elections to support extended early voting hours throughout Ohio.

  • Equal rights for voters
For months, Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted has personally acted to restrict early voting in counties with large Democratic populations—casting tie-breaking votes to limit voting to weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in urban areas like Franklin County, where in previous elections 82% of early voters did so on nights or weekends. Now, Secretary of State Husted said he is considering limiting early voting hours across the state in the run-up to the November election, and will "be listening to local boards of elections' concerns on this issue." We need to let local Boards of Elections across Ohio know that Ohioans support giving all registered voters equal opportunity to exercise their right to vote.

  • Neither my Kansas values, nor vote, are for sale
Governor Brownback has sent a clear message to moderate Republicans. His party is different. It is no longer the party of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Senator Bob Dole and Governor Bill Graves. This party believes in the Austrian School of Economics and the Libertarian Party's Koch's Free Economy. They are anti-public school, anti-worker, anti-woman, and anti-middle class. Every issue I advocated for, Sen. Brownback replied by letter stating he was too worried if my solution did not work. I, too, am worried. Worried about parents sending their children to school, worried about job creation, worried about women with no control of their body and worried about taxes and your adviser, Arthur Leffer.

  • The U.S. House of Representatives: Demand that Representative Joe Walsh resign as Congressman of IL
As a young Muslim American and life long Illinoisian, I am appauled at the comments Representative Joe Walsh has made concerning Muslims living in Illinois. I am deeply concerned that his Islamophic message is inciting violence against the Muslim Community in Illinois. Representative Joe Walsh has made a commitment to protect the people of the 8th District, his comments however incite violence and hate towards Muslims and it is shameful that he is an elected official in this great state!

  • Uniform Voting in Ohio
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted has personally acted to restrict early voting in counties with large Democratic populations—casting tie-breaking votes to limit voting to weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in urban areas like Franklin County, where in previous elections 82% of early voters did so on nights or weekends. As a Hamilton County resident, I feel that we need to let the Hamilton County Boards of Elections know that Ohioans support giving all registered voters equal opportunity to exercise their right to vote. So, as a resident in Hamilton County I am starting a petition calling on the Hamilton County Board of Elections to publicly support uniform, expanded early voting hours across Ohio.

  • Warren County Board of Elections
I hope to inform the Warren County Board of Elections that many Ohioans support giving equal opportunity to exercise the right to vote. It disillusions me personally to even suspect that anyone who lives in an urban area in Ohio is denied a voice in the election process.

  • Support a Political Campaign Reform Amendment
Amendment to the constitution specifying that freedom of speech is, and should be recognized as being a factor of our ability to have our voice heard. Therefore, wealthy individuals or corporations are infringing upon our freedom of speech by overwhelming it. The amendment would limit individuals total contributions to $100. It would limit the length of campaigns to 6 weeks. It would stipulate specific number of signatures to get on ballot. And, most importantly, it would stipulate that all news media provide specific amount of free campaign coverage.
