Some people want to kill Medicare but the problems is: it needs to be changed. The items covered under Medicare don't cover the real needs that most seniors need: dental, hearing and sight. Last night while watching TV, two commerals came on for male enchanment products, one was a pill and the other was called Pro-T-Vac, and each was covered under Medicare but when I went looking for help with a dental, hearing or sight problem, all I got was buy more insurance. You can get a hip replacement or a new liver when your 90 but when it comes to dental work, a hearing aid or glasses your just plain out of luck.

This petition is about keeping religion and state separate. The religious intitutions have become to greedy and they have lost empathy. They were suppose to help their communities and the people with the money they make, and stay away from politics. They are not doing that anymore, all they are doing is spending big amounts of money for their own use and in politics to gain extra benefits with the government for their own agenda. Since they have all that extra money they can afford to pay taxes.

Mediacom cable is a cable company service that offers cable t.v., as well as internet and phone service. All of the services are always on the fritz and never working yet their rates keep increasing, and their technicians and those at the top of the company simply do not care. They are bleeding their customers dry and taking advantage of areas like Western Kentucky for example where the choice for ISP's is slim to none. I live in Western Kentucky and its either AT&T or Mediacom for the most part. This petition is to urge Mediacom to take the nescessary steps in order to give customers their moneys worth instead of taking us for granted.

Tulsa's water supply has recently been treated with chloramine. If you drink tap water you have probably noticed. There are significant health risks associated with chloramine. Chloramines are derivatives of ammonia. Adding chloramine to the water supply can increase exposure to lead in drinking water, especially in areas with older housing; this exposure can result in increased lead levels in the bloodstream and can pose a significant health risk. There is also evidence that exposure to chloramine can contribute to respiratory problems, including asthma, among swimmers. Respiratory problems related to chloramine exposure are common and prevalent among competitive swimmers. Chloramine use, together with chlorine dioxide, ozone, and ultraviolet, have been described as public health concerns and an example of the outcome of poorly implemented environmental regulation. These methods of disinfection decrease the formation of regulated byproducts such as alkyl chloroforms, which has led to their widespread adoption. However, they can increase the formation of a number of less regulated cytotoxic and genotoxic byproducts, some of which pose greater health risks than the regulated chemicals,causing such diseases as cancer, kidney disease, thyroid damage, and birth defects.

Many members of my family are suffering from leaky gut syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, food allergies, and a growing inability to acquire truly organic food products because Monsanto and other BIG AG companies have too much influence on Congress members and FDA and the Dept. of Agriculture. Will you help me by asking Congress to require truly independent studies of the effects of GMO on animals and humans? Will you ask them to include independent studies that have already been done in Europe and resulted in banning of many GMO seeds, plants, and products?

Hospital charges are at the root of high health costs. A hospital "Price List" (Charge Master List) is typically 5-6 times their cost. That's what people with insufficient or no insurance are charged. Insurance companies negotiate discounts based on size and how many they insure and typically only pay about 35 - 40% of what the uninsured are charged. The"Charge Master List" typically increases 7.5% automatically every October, regardless of inflation. That means their prices double every 10 years. They also cheat. After a month in a well-known hospital my daughter was charged $268,000. The first time I called the Billing Dept. they told me they could give me a 50% discount(meaning they only made 200% profit). Instead I went into the bill line by line, found much evidence of false charging, and they eventually offered to settle for $17,000. And look how HCA, largest healthcare company in the US, has been stealing taxpayer $$s. So let's get them to clean up their act, and hand out some jail time, instead of fines.

We need to put an end to the Electoral College. Since we now have computerized voting the Electoral College is no longer needed.

How many people have to die before we ban these weapons?

Not so much a petition, more a call to boycott. Compile a list of products, print and ask people to sign if willing to participate.

Tax credits for creating jobs should only be given when that job is filled on a permanent full time basis. No more tax breaks before a job is created.
