I am currently on state parole in Pennsylvania, I have applied for hundreds, if not over a thousand jobs. As soon as my background check comes back, or the subject is brought up during the interview, the position I'm applying for disappears. I, as well as other ex-felons, who have served their time and learned from their past deserve a fair shot at gainful employment.

Facebook now shows everyone in a group who has seen each post in the group. This means that if you are in a group, someone in the same group (whether it's your ex, a romantic interest, or a creepy stranger) can track your online activity simply by checking which posts you read and at what times. What's even scarier, when asked by TechCrunch if they would ever apply this feature to the news feed, Facebook responded saying that they were "not going to discuss what we might (or might not) do in the future." This serious violation of privacy has the potential not only to ruin friendships, but could also prove dangerous in certain cases of domestic abuse, and must be stopped.

Every congressional bill is a quagmire of unrelated pet projects and issues. Let us insist that each issue stand alone and be posted on line for constituant comment. This is the ONE reform on which every citizen can agree, regardless of political position.

Why does big business get big tax breaks for staying here in Illinois and then they layoff lots of employees??? What are they good for???

The power and size of the police forces in the United States is growing at an alarming rate while officers of the law, who are sworn to uphold our constitution, are committing brutal, and sometimes lethal acts of violence for little or no reason at all. Police departments have started to undergo training for "riot control" and to respond to potential "terrorist threats" while their definition of terrorists grows to include Ron Paul supporters, people who pay with cash, protestors, and people who buy more than a week's worth of groceries at a time. Police have been breaking up peaceful protests and arresting innocent civilians, unconstitutionally, just to shut them up.

We have all been affected by the huge debt that the last (bush) administration left for the next administration to clean up. Well 2.3 trillion dollars of "lost" tax dollars would be a good start.

If corporations and individuals both inside and outside of the country can try to buy elections then they should at least have to pay for it.
