It is time we as a country put a stop to the filibustering procedures of the US senate. Why should one senator or minority party be able to veto the will of the people, congress and the president of the United States? We are fighting two wars and coming out of our worst financial crisis since the great depression. One person should not be able to stop our government from functioning as is the case in the US senate today. Our constitution states that the president is the only person who has veto powers. These powers can be overturned with a 2/3 vote by congress but the filibuster process vetoes the president, congress and our constitutional rights daily. When a legislative procedure proves to be greater than our constitution it must be eliminated. The only acceptable form of filibustering should be one that is very limited in its' scope in terms of time, frequency and duration, and does not require a super majority vote. Using the senate as an example on filibustering, why prevent states from filibustering over congressional members and not let them be seated after being elected? As you can see this would be wrong. The filibuster has proved to be a congressional veto by its' action and history and must be eliminated. I believe we have a right to debate but our right to debate should not stop our right to proceed with a majority vote by congress that the filibuster now stops.

We need to prohibit federal lobbying at all levels . Our governments make decisions based on lobbying. Our nation is in danger of becoming a nation controlled by and paid for by special interests. As Americans we need to take back our government. This petition will be opposed but Republicans, Democrats and Independents must united.

Lobbyists appear to have a great influence on public officials. By releasing thier tax returns, the public will know who is receiving money from special interests.

We are small business owners Mandated insurance policies to do business in California are the biggest expense a business has. We provide 100% health care for all our fulltime employees. With health care reforms taking place we can now expect reforms with our patchwork work loss programs. Bank of America continues to foreclose on home people who are unemployed, have had significant financial loses. BAnonk of America ignores Government programs to help the poor like HAMP or HARP programs designed to help people stay in their homes. The Koch brothers and their companies have enough money to make a difference for climate change reversal. They should admit that they have been wrong and at least equal the $50 million or so that they have spend on climate change denial on clean.renewable energy. They could do so by funding and using wind energy for their Georgia-Pacific paper and wood-products mils.

Creditors purposely add small chargers to the credit bureaus to make things difficult to get further credit. A creditor should not be allowed to report anything under thousand dollars(1000). Many times small amounts have been paid,yet creditors report an unpaid amount. I have been personally affected by this tact and had to go through the process to check and call all creditors to be cleared.
