Flood Protection for Rocky RippleI live in a little town called Rocky Ripple, that is now being excluded from a levee project called "Indianapolis North Flood Damage Reduction Project, White River North, Phase III". We have petitioned since 2000 to be added to this project but the Army Corp of engineers is excluding us. We as a tax paying community deserve and demand our right to Flood Protection.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Elyssa Mullen

Medicaid and Affordable Care ActMedicaid is an integral part of our social safety net. I am concerned that a vulnerable sector of our population will be at risk if federal funding is rejected in North Carolina. More debates. More parties. As the campaigns grind inexorably towards election day, most of the candidates for office are ignored by the media. It is time for any brave media outlet to fill the void in American politics. Don't complain that you were not invited to host a debate, Invite the third party candidates to debate. More voices, more better.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dr. Charles Cunningham

Mandatory Rainwater harvesting in CA for conservationRainwater harvesting from rooftops in all of California's major cities could save dwindling water supplies across the state. While California endures a drought and faces challenges with aging infrastructure, rainwater harvesting for landscaping and non potable home and business use, could pose a solution to California's water shortage crisis.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tessier Bull

Middle class consumers are the real job creatorsPresident Obama and the Democrats should focus on the basic economic fact that middle class consumers are the real job creators, as eloquently explained by Nick Hanauer: http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-12-07/raise-taxes-on-rich-to-reward-true-job-creators-nick-hanauer.html#p1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBx2Y5HhplI The economy is the most urgent issue facing our nation, and this election presents a clear choice between the clearly broken policy of larding more money on the rich in the hopes that they will magically create more jobs, and the economically sound argument that a stronger middle class will create more jobs. With this argument, Obama and the democrats can directly undermine the central pillar of Romney and the Republican's campaign: that they are somehow uniquely capable of creating jobs. Just ask Romney directly how much economic growth he has generated by not paying his fair share of taxes -- is he buying products that American companies are producing, in the same quantities as would be the case if that money was instead in the hands of middle-class consumers? The current Obama campaign rhetoric: http://www.barackobama.com/record/economy?source=primary-nav focuses too much on the bailout and government intervention in specific industries -- this is an immediate turn-off to many potential voters. This argument transcends narrow party interests and should be something that can unite 99% of Americans -- it urgently needs to be made, forcefully and consistently, for the future of our country.58 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Randall O'Reilly

California Gun Control- Support of SB249In light of the recent Sikh Massacre in Oak Creek Wisconsin and the Movie Theater Massacre in Aurora Colorado, We believe it is essential to strengthen our expiating assault weapon ban legislation here in California for the protection of our citizens. California Senator Leland Yee's Gun Control Bill SB 249 is an honest attempt to do this and needs to enacted, in this Election Year.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Carl Sweet

Stop Confined Animal Feed Operation (C.A.F.O.) in Central WisconsinA C.A.F.O. is trying to force it's way into a currently forested area in a residential area in the town of Saratoga, WI. The soil is primarily sand and has a shallow water table with private wells as shallow as 20 feet deep. The C.A.F.O. wants to purchase 8,000 acres for crops and have a dairy with 5700 cows, calves, and heifers. The Saratoga water is at risk of contamination, in addition to 2 trout streams. The C.A.F.O. wants permission to install 47 high capacity wells. This amount of water draw will risk the aquifer and the nitrates will seep into the water table. Please help fight C.A.F.O.'s in Central WI !779 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Lynn
