This petition is to stop the selling of high-capacity magazines for assault weapons. Help me be the voice for the innocent that have died or been maimed by these weapons. Help stop our local stores, including Walmart, that sell these high-capacity magazines. I am a former associate at Walmart, and got to see people bringing in their assault weapons to buy the ammunition that is used. Too many children and adults are dying because of the sale of high-capacity magazines. So, please, we need your help. Sign this petition.

Churches receive tax exempt status because it is assumed that they provide social services to the community. This is wrong and illogical for three reasons at least. One: church assistance does not relieve any taxpayer burden. No one goes off medicare or medicaid because the church is paying the bill. No one stops receiving food stamps because they've gotten enough food boxes from the local parish. Taxpayers still provide social services in the billions. Two: If churches have the right to make political contributions to further their agenda, they should contribute to the public process by which they gain that agenda, just like we all do. Three: Freedom isn't free. It costs all of us to keep freedom of religion a solid cornerstone of the meaning of our country, just like all our other freedoms. Those benefitting from that protection should pay for it too.

A debate between Darrell Issa and his Democratic opponent, Jerry Tetalman, is of national importance because his policies are jeopardizing important organizations like the post office and well established personal freedoms. I'm going to Fortenberry's office tomorrow, August 1st, and I'd like to show him how many in his district WANT the Senate tax cut for the middle class passed. This is about the good of the people. If he is so upset about the top 1% not getting an extension, then he can start another bill just for them.

Where is there a need for an assault weapon by a non military individual? I can't think of an answer, can you? Who do you know that would purposefully put this kind of weapon into the hands of a mentally unstable individual?

One easy way for state and local governments to save money is by releasing non violent offenders. In order to keep them accountable and increase tax revenues such release would depend on them getting a Job. Non violent offenders should have access to career builders, and if employed they should be released as long as they stay employed.

Because the 112th session of the U.S. House of Representatives failed to take appropriate action the United States of America lost it's AAA credit rating for the first time in history and threatened our nation with default.

Gov. Rick Scott has reaffirmed his decision to appeal the Federal Court ruling overturning the ban on doctors talking about guns with patients. The law in question infringes on the doctor's free speech and medical judgement by prohibiting doctors from discussing gun ownership and safety during exams. It is our tax money wasted on a law that is not only unconstitutional but panders to the gun lobby.
