The average American is limited as a result of 2 areas of credit reporting that is in essence immoral, unethical, and limits the average American from attaining the American dream! I personally have been affected by 2 areas on my credit report. 1) medical bills, 2) Student loans. While I have committed my professional life to making a difference in education, I have had to lean on student loans in order to become an educator. Congress/The President, could stimulate the economy immediately if they were to find it unlawful to use against a consumer those thing necessary in order to 1) make a living, 2) seek health care. There is no evidence that a person with high student loans, or medical bills will not make their house payment! In the contrary, it increases their investment in their community which establishes long term investment. It stimulates the economy!

Campaigns are too long, too much money is spent, and negative adds should be banned.

Congress members make so much money off of corrupt kickbacks when they retire that they don't need these huge salaries and should make the amount of other federal employees! This would help balance the budget!

Tell the right wing House leadership to stop the political games and pass the Senate’s strong, bipartisan Violence Against Women Act that protects the health and safety of all women.

We have endured suffering long enough and are ashamed of having the worst health care system in the United States. Do the right thing; Implement all provisions of the Affordable Care Act pertaining to the health care insurance industry!

My name is Leanne Birchenough and after recently being involved in an auto accident, Travelers Insurance deemed our family car a 'total loss'. But our vehicle is fully operational and is suffering significant cosmetic damage to the passenger side. The client they are representing was 100% at fault. But, by deeming the car 'totaled', it is simply more cost effective for their company instead of paying the damage estimate to have our car fixed. The restitute amount is too low to fix the vehicle and too low to buy another. In addition, Travelers Insurance is charging a $733 'salvage fee' to keep my own Y2000 Volvo V40 if we wish to claim restitute and have it fixed. The mileage on this car is relatively low, is in great condition (was) and is our only transportation. This is our reliable car that we have babied and put money into. Not something an insurance company should ‘total’ because it is more cost effective. Does this sound familiar, has this happened to you? This is common practice and leaves people stranded. This shouldn’t be the way insurance companies do business, we pay mandatory auto insurance to protect us and be protected, right? Please help bring this to light and end auto insurance greed and ill-practice by signing my petition. Thank you.

Out sourcing jobs off shore not only robs American workers of gainful employment, it weakens Social Security funding. Tell the president and congress that American companies sending jobs abroad should be required to make an in-lieu payment to SSI for the amount the company and worker would have paid into SSI.

The state of Illinois has a state capital in Springfield. The state is trying to save money by cutting serves that are badly needed for people in Illinois such Murray Center, The Animal Disease Lab, Tamms Prison, and many more. However, they are still moving government offices to Chicago. Why are we paying rent in Chicago where rent is very high while our capital is in Springfield which is in the center of the state and where things are at lot lower cost?
