While extremists in Arizona have passed laws that make a suspect out of anyone who looks “foreign,” California is poised to take a different approach. If the TRUST Act becomes law, California would set a new bar as a state where immigrants stopped for a broken taillight or for selling tamales on the street won’t be fast-tracked into deportation. The TRUST Act would maintain immigration holds for those convicted of a serious felony, but mothers and fathers who get picked up for minor reasons, wouldn’t have to worry about ending up in immigration detention or deportation. Think of all those families who won’t have to live in constant fear of the police! The TRUST Act has already passed the California legislature. Now, all eyes are on Gov. Jerry Brown.

This petition urges the president to establish an annually recognized National Day of Remembrance on October 28th, honoring the laudable restraint of past world leaders resulting in the peaceful resolution of the Cuban Missile Crisis 50 years ago. This day of remembrance is intended to encourage current global leaders to reject firmly and permanently the possibility of nuclear warfare, the consequences of which remain as devastating as they were in the height of the Cold War.

There are many people who work long hours and it is difficult with the long voting lines to exercise your right to vote. I propose a national paid holiday on national voting days every two years starting with this November. The issues facing our nation are important enough to warrant this action so that everyone's voice can be heard. If someone works in an essential service: firemen, hospitals etc. 4 hours should be granted.

I am so very tired of hearing about add-ons to actual legislation. An example would be the Republicans adding a "Stop Obama Care" amendment to the Farm bill.

The DoNot call list doesn't work. The FTC has no authority to stop the illegal use of the countries landline communication system. The local carriers have the technology to stop these marketing phonecalls, most of which are comming from overseas using the internet, but need congress to pass a law to enable them to implement a blocking system. The U.S. government has been lying about hemp and marijuana since 1937. Despite protests from physicians who used it medicinally, our government started prohibition on marijuana so that the people employed for alcohol prohibition would not lose their jobs. THIS IS WHY MARIJUANA BECAME ILLEGAL. Our corrupt government needs a message that as adults, we can make these decisions for ourselves.

The reason i ask for this patition to be signed is because the federal communications commition said that all cellphones need to be accessible to blind or visually impaired people. I used t-mobile at one time and they didn't help me at all. Verizon is doing a wonderful job, but they have only certain phones that are accessible to the blind when it should be on all of them.

If Mitt Romney wants to be president, I want to know how much money he's paid in taxes over the past 10 years. I am suspicious that he has not paid anything during some of those years. If true, that would be an outrage and a vital piece of information that the voting public should know.

A shocking issue in U.S. history has been that of social services' involvement with families who have been accused of child abuse and/or neglect. Many people believe social services to be a steadfast organization with the intention of helping reunite families. Many more know better that social services is nothing more than a means of a corrupt organization to rip families apart and use whatever means necessary to make money and exploit families. The devastation caused year round by social services is unfathomable to any human imaginations. Valuable tax dollars, state funded dollars, and resources are poured into breaking families apart and sending children even as young as newborns to foster homes to be raised by complete strangers who may or may not have the children's best interest in mind. It is proven that children are 6 times more likely to die in foster care than they are with their natural born parents and yet we allow this atrocity to happen every day. What we as American people need to do is take a stand and demand change. Social services workers receive compensation for the longer they keep children in their care or in foster care. It is one giant money scheme. We need to take a stand and propose that social services workers be payed more for reuniting families and far less for breaking them apart so they are more inclined to do their job. Not only this, but there should also limitations to their use of power. Currently, social services has a nearly unlimited mass of power to do as they wish with families and it is a direct violation of American rights. Families who can not afford the legal expenses often lose their children and are left heartbroken, financially devastated, and put at the mercy of court systems who would have them prosecuted before they would ever listen to their side of the story. There is no accountability for any slanderous lies that social services may or may not use as a means to achieve their goals and there is no justification for the way the process is handled. Take a stand for American rights. Study what makes this such a big deal and take a stand.
