• Tell Advertisers to Be Fair
forcing people to use Facebook to enter online drawings and contests. Yes, I am affected, because I do not want to use Facebook. When advertisers hold a drawing, they are required by law to include persons, regardless of purchase and by USPS as well as emails. Yet advertisers are now requiring persons to use Facebook if they want to enter contests -- from ads sent via emails! It is time to recognize the people they email, who do NOT use Facebook -- and require they allow emails to enter too. If they can use email to send the contest information, they can also allow us to use email for our entries.

  • McDonalds: Turn Off Fox News TV. Your Patrons Deserve A Politically Free Dining Experience!
Frequently, My family and I patronize our neighborhood McDonald's Restaurant located at 18350 NE 18th Dr., NMB, FL., which persistently broadcast FOX NEWS TV in the family dining room. On several occasions, most recently 07.19.2012, I asked the store managers to broadcast a station that is neutral, non-bias and, especially, nonpolitical. I explained to them that the atmosphere should be "family friendly" for all families; in that, it should be entertaining and not politicized. Mr. Don Thompson, CEO of McDonald's Corporation, can change policies that ensure McDonald's be free of politics in the dining rooms. We are calling on him to require franchises to maintain nonpolitical practices in the dining rooms.

  • Remove poisonous fluoride from our drinking water!
Fluoride only exists as toxic waste from the manufacture of aluminium and nuclear plants. It is a known carcinogenic and numerous studies have proved it is more harmful than good. It causes more tooth damage than it saves cavities. It attacks the nervous system and is known to affect all the organs of the body, especially the brain. It has been withdrawn from water supplies in many European countries for this reason. It is tantamount to medicating people against their will and therefore there is no free choice in this matter.

  • Home Improvement Permit Amnesty
I want States, in my case Colorado, to offer an amnesty period for Home Owners who have had improvements made on their homes without obtaining a permit to go to their city and county offices and apply for a permit retroactively. With the housing market and economy problems many people had to stay in their homes even though they would have considered moving. Because they stayed many made improvements but due to lack of money or knowledge did not obtain the proper permits. An amnesty period would allow homeowners to become compliant and include the improvements when refinancing or selling and it would also allow states to generate revenue by collecting the permit fees from sources they very likely would not be able to collect from otherwise.

  • CONGRESSIONAL BENEFITS
In a time where health insurance is at an all time high, and some people stay at jobs just to ensure health benefits, is it right for our lawmakers to receive free healthcare, guaranteed pensions, three weeks paid vacation and unlimited paid sick days? Shouldn't the lawmakers of this country have to pay into and receive social security like everyone else? Why are they given better benefits than those they are representing on top of large salaries?

  • Congress: compromise or step down
I'm sick and tired of our congressional representatives holding to party lines at the expense of the American people. We are being held hostage by their intractibility, ideologies, greed and stubbornness. I say this: if a representative or senator is resistant to compromise and if important legislation is stalled by that person, her or she should be voted out. It's simple to keep track of who is working across the aisle or not -- let's hold their feet to the fire if they don't cooperate, and let's start with this upcoming election.
