Boycott Masterpiece CakeshopThe owners of this shop recently turned away a gay couple shopping for a wedding cake because they "don't serve gay weddings." This is an extremely exciting and special time in a young couples' lives, an experience they'll hopefully never have again. They've spent time dreaming up their perfect day to celebrate their love and commitment to each other, and they admiringly chose this business to add one of the most traditional pieces to their ceremony: the cake. But they were denied service because of their sexuality. As a member of the LGBT community in the area, I am appalled at this abhorrent behavior. We need to send a message to them that in this day and age, bigotry cannot and will not be tolerated. I'm not sure how the cakes taste, but I know how bigotry and hate tastes and it is disgusting.5,904 of 6,000 SignaturesCreated by Macklin MacKenzie

Save Lives & Money!I have been waiting for a kidney transplant for 6 years, living a horrible life on dialysis. I see myself getting sicker & sicker as I spend 3 days a week, 4 hours a day at dialysis. I was 32 when this process started & hope everyday to get that phone call of a new kidney... & even more, I hope everyday that I will live another day. I propose that we make organ donation an opt-out program rather than the current system of opting-in.nobody will have their rights taken away, hence the opt-out option. In addition, the government will save millions if not billions of dollars a year by transplanting people out of extremely expensive dialysis treatments & back into the workforce. All of this & it would drastically improve the lives of your fellow Americans suffering from ESRD (end stage renal disease) & others needing any organ to live.31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tiffany Merkin

TERM LIMITS FOR MARIN COUNTY SUPERVISORSThere are nine San Francisco Bay Area Counties. Marin County is one of if not the only county without term limits. Marin is home to the most undeveloped wild lands in the Bay Area. There are tens of thousands of acres of open space developers want. Marin supervisors are often supported by pro development groups from as far away as Los Angles. One supervisor has sat for sixteen years in a district that was specifically laid out by his predecessor to be impossible to beat an incumbent (he just won a fifth term out spending his rival by many times). The predecessor retired after 30 years and could never be dislodged from office. Marin County deserves new ideas and eight years is enough to effect change while in office. All of Marin County will benefit from this change.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michael Sewell

Re-establish Pell Grants for Displaced Workers & Older Returning StudentsThe recent Pell Grant cuts have limited the amount of eligible semesters from 15 to 12--regardless if you received the maximum amount of grant or not. Many people that were laid off were told to return to school and get additional training. If you are in your late 20's and above, this more than likely means that you will not receive a grant--regardless of need, excellent grades, or future contribution to society once you have graduated.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Toyia Washington

Bring Defamation of Character charges against Michelle BachmannI personally take offense to all the hate-fueled talk from Michelle Bachmann. She's a bigot who doesn't care for the American people unless they are white, straight, and share her exact religious views.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by jeremy

Amend the Scranton Home Rule Charter to Require Referendum Votes for Bond IssuanceThe City of Scranton and it's authorities have issued bonds with out regard for the will of the people. City residents have no leverage to oppose or approve either a bond issuance from the city or financially backing a bond issuance from one of the city's authorities yet are required to bear the financial burden as taxpayers. Citizens in other cities around the country are required to hold referendums and receive a majority "Yes" vote before bond issuance. It's time for the citizens of Scranton to have that same voice.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dear Scranton

Time Warner Cable Take ResponsibilityMy name is Justin Gadson from Charlotte, NC. July 11, 2012 my dog and I were taking our morning walk around the neighborhood along the sidewalk. While crossing the street to head to the house a Time Warner Cable van ran over my dog in front of me. My goal is to continue to help curb reckless driving in neighborhoods and to pressure Time Warner Cable to step up to the plate.73 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Justin Gadson

Stop the Cuban political embargo blockWe Cuban Americans are tired of being stuck in the middle of a political game. We are paying lots of money to send packages to our families in Cuba. In order for them to be able to live and eat better, we have some to send them decent shoes, clothing to wear, also simple medications. This blockade has convert a beautiful island into a third world class country.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Anisia Ayon

President Obama: Bring Home Troops; Put Them to Work Building Bridges in USA.Lets bring our brave men home and create jobs here in the USA building bridges, roads, schools, dams etc. Move all of these fighting men into the ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS. We already are paying these military salaries in a war project, now continue to pay them salaries in a PEACE project. This would not add to the defecit and these Army Corps of Engineer projects would spin off thousands of other civilian jobs in communities all across the USA.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jim Frost
