Sun Trust Wants New Fees on Your MoneyI bank at Sun Trust and got this notice on my monthly statement: "EFFECTIVE JULY 23, 2012 THE $12.50 OVERDRAFT PROTECTION TRANSFER FEE WILL NO LONGER BE WAIVED WHEN A LIVE SOLID SAVINGS OR GET STARTED SAVINGS ACCOUNT IS USED AS THE SOURCE OF OVERDRAFT PROTECTION." This over draft protection simply transfers the necessary amount from a savings account to a checking account if the account gets overdrawn. We're calling for an end to ridiculious fees just because they can charge them. Why does it cost $12.50 to make the same kind of transfer internally I could make myself on a computer for free? $12.50 to move my money from one account to another?1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Virginia Langton

I AM NOT A VIRGIN V'S Richard BransonVIEW THE LAWYERS LETTER at .... WWW.IAMNOTAVIRGIN.COM I AM NOT A VIRGIN jeans are made out of a 75% virgin cotton and 25% recycled synthetic, which includes brown beer bottles. We are also selling t-shirts made out of recycled food trays, clear water bottles and discarded X- Ray film. The team includes folks who have worked on DKNY, Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren products. A couple but interesting facts! It takes a million years for one bottle to break down in landfill, and if all the jeans sold here in the U.S. were produced using this green tech, 1.2 million barrels of oil could be saved yearly. You can find us on on http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1535794312/i-am-not-a-virgin for more info on the jeans. There is also a Pinterest site http://pinterest.com/iamnotavirgin/, http://www.facebook.com/iamnotavirgin. and https://twitter.com/#!/IAMNOTAVIRGIN Over the last few months the Virgin Group have been putting a lot of pressure on I AM NOT A VIRGIN. They are pushing extremely hard for us to change our name. I find this confusing because we are nothing like Richard Bransons Company. My comrades and I have decided to do something about it and have now put together this petition. We’re asking like-minded people to stand with us so we can keep the company and dream alive. Thank you!627 of 800 SignaturesCreated by peter heron

Bain Capital is shipping my job to ChinaBain Capital owns Sensata Technologies, which bought the plant where I work in Freeport, Illinois two years ago. Now, Bain is shipping our jobs to China. Mitt Romney was at the helm of Bain Capital while it owned companies that, according to the Washington Post, "were pioneers in the practice of shipping work from the United States." Mitt Romney bears responsibility for starting the practice and should now play a role in helping to end it. I didn’t find out that Sensata was owned by Bain until recently, right before Mitt Romney came through our area on the “Every Town Counts” bus tour promising to create new jobs. We don’t need new jobs, we just need Romney to keep our jobs here in the U.S. I tried to tell him that while he was campaigning in Janesville, Wisconsin—just 55 miles away. But unfortunately, he didn’t want to listen. So now we need your help to get his attention. Please sign our petition to tell Mitt Romney that he needs to stop talking about creating jobs and actually do something to save ours. I don’t know what I’m going to do if I lose my job. My company used to offer a full year of severance pay, but that was cut to six months. It’s all about money for Bain and Romney, but for us, it’s about how we make a living and feed our families. What I do know is that I’m not alone. There’s 165 of us getting laid off just in my plant. And millions of other workers who have been laid off—or will be laid off—unless Romney and other businessmen stop shipping jobs overseas and start creating jobs in America. It’s us now, and it might be you or your family next. So please sign this petition for us, for yourself, and for and all the hardworking people you love and care about. It’s time that Romney stopped making empty promises about creating jobs and started saving jobs that are being shipped outside the country.2,349 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Cheryl Randecker

Stop playing partisan games with Wisconsin's democracy!Wisconsin's Republican party has engaged in deliberate power-grabbing since Governor Walker's election in 2010. Now, with Democrats having gained control of the Senate in the only Democrat victory in the recent recall election, Republicans want to challenge the victory of John Lehman over Van Wangaard in Racine with a recount of votes.2,874 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Britton Saunders

"Federal Bureau of Prisons: Condones Negligence In Employment Practices Resulting In Violations o...Many federal bureau of prisons employees are being treated unfairly and have been intimidated into not exercising their employment rights. The agency has "adopted " a negligent employment practice of retaining and promoting management staff who willfully violate agency policies, rules, collective bargaining agreements and federal laws without fear of disciplinary action. Employee retaliation and/or career suicide is imminent for employees who file EEO or other complaints against management staff. These complaints are often ignored, unreported and worst of all uninvestigated. This is unconstitutional and does not promote the effieciency of service as required by federal agencies. This is a matter of great concern to the general public. I am proud to be a federal employee unfortunately I am also a current victim of the agency's unconstitutional negligent employment practices. I call upon members of congress and the white house to act swiftly to stop these negligent practices and accordingly discipline or charge not only those who have willfully committed these violations but those who knowingly abused their authority by condoning these violations and purposely failed to report them to the appropriate law enforcement agencies or officials. These negligent practices are ongoing at most federal prisons especially those located in Texas (South Central Region).18 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dyrron Boykin

Access To Birth Control Must Be ProtectedThe religious liberty of employees of some hospitals and universities managed by religious groups is threatened by attempts (notably by Catholic bishops) to impose their ban on contraceptives on everyone. Some 98% of these employees (some Catholic, more not) use contraceptives and have already made their private and intimate decision based on their own beliefs. Houses of worship should be exempt but not these institutions hiring and serving the public.84 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Charles Sumner
