I am a full time student and I have three girls that are also In college. Financial aid will only pay a certain amount Each school term, the rest is loans or out of pocket, money. We need the cost of tuition to be lowered.

We need change in America. Washington needs an overhaul. We are feeding and housing people in and from other countries while we leave our own hungry on the streets. Enough is enough. Let's let Washington know that we are fed up. I will never make it Washington. But please sign my petition so that I can send it to the powers that be. We are broke because we are trying to spread democracy to countries that hate us. We all have enough debt. This must end!

So many studies show that a government backed stimulus is an effective solution to a slow economy. Converting the US to the metric system would be a massive undertaking and would create jobs in all sectors.

Since it takes about $20 a barrel to get oil in America and most of it is gotten now on public land, which means it's America's oil !!! Then it's sold on the open market for over a hundred dollars a barrel and obscene profits. I purpose we make the oil companies a public utility. Then when we can sell American oil here in America at say, $25-$30 a barrel and it'll help balance the cost of Opec oil. Over the course of years, we'll buy all the stock back at it's current price, so no one will lose any money. THAT WILL stimulate the economy and create jobs. For those that say the government can't run things effectively, look at Social Security: "...is an extremely efficient program, with administrative costs equaling only 0.6 percent of retirement and survivors benefits." Now you show me any company, in any field, that can run it's business that lean. Government can be an effective force for the good of its people, and the benefits of the oil industry should be put to that purpose and not the few fat cats profiteers obscene profits. Remember, it's America's oil on public lands.

Too many people are swayed by the retoric (the nonsence and lies) coming out of the mouths of politicians and the big-money corporations...people like the oil companies who are still trying to convince us that what they sell does not harm our enviornment. The sad thing is, that many people WANT to believe it because it is easier to go with the status quo. That, and people have been raised to respect their elders and their government. Too bad that they didn't KNOW the lies then. But...we have to start somewhere. I'm sure you've heard the saying, "power corrupts." Well, it hasn't just corrupted, it's created monsters. I am asking that people investigate for the truth. There is no perfect political party, or person for that matter. But look at ethics. Who cares more about "THE PEOPLE" than "THE MONEY" and "THE POWER?" Then do something...don't just sit back and say, "It's all broken, I'm just not going to vote for anyone." BECAUSE THAT IN ITSELF IS THEIR WEAPON...TO HAVE YOU NOT VOTE! And do what you can. STAND UP FOR YOUR BELIEFS. The republican congress has done nothing for the American citizens except do everything they can to hinder progress under President Obama's presidency. They say he has not done anything, and actually BLAME HIM for for economy! Mr. Bush spent 8 years destroying the economy by giving a tax cut to corporations to outsource jobs and by taking us into a war in Iraq which was a major lie and for which he should have been impeached. Things snowball...they do not happen overnight. You can not clean up a county's whole economy (and all the other major problems we have) in 3 years or 10 years. You first have to turn the train around, which doesn't happen in 5 minutes. But this is another of their marketing schemes...to destroy Obama. I do not agree with everything President Obama has done, but I can tell you that he is a world of difference from Romney! If Romney should by some possibility become President, I believe that this country will be so destroyed that we may not ever see the light.

Class warfare is destroying our country. Corporations and rich individuals ("the 1%") work hard to keep their taxes low, keep workers scared and keeping the unemployment rate high. We need to remove their incentive to destroy the middle class and give them clear financial incentives to act morally. This petition will align the financial interests of the 1% with the 99%. We want Congress to increase corporate and wealthy individuals' income tax rate with a large surtax when unemployment is high, and a reduced tax when unemployment is low. All most of them care about is their own financial situation. Under this proposal, the wealthy will work hard to reduce unemployment or suffer the consequences.

I would be very happy to have a mandate to pay for health care, or even a tax, if that money was NOT going to "for profit" insurance companies who are one of our nation's biggest enemies! They have intentionally caused the health care crisis in order to enslave us all to a corporate tax, which they will use to finance their CEO's and corporate officer's lavish lifestyles which includes private jets and condo's all over the globe. The Billions of dollars in administration costs that we must all, by law, pay for are ludicrous and there is NO excuse for our Government NOT providing us with a non-profit source of health insurance if they are going to impose such a TAX! There is no amount of good that can out weigh the evil of slavery and being financially enslaved by these corporate GOONS is completely unacceptable!

Randy is in prison for life with no chance of parole for a first time non-violent offense. He smuggled marijuana on a large scale and is no angel, but he has been in prison for 23 years and has paid his debt to society. Even Charles Manson gets a parole hearing ! It's an outrage.

The four Supreme Court Justices that voted YES to uphold the Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) DESERVE the thanks of the American people and I can think of no better man to deliver such an important show of gratitude from the American people than our President who fought diligently for the passing of this important Act. Let's send a thank-you letter to President Obama urging that it be forwarded on to these four most honorable Justices!

President obama the answer is so simple the banks got there bailouts. The hard working people of u.s.a. Should be released from any debt from a bank who got bailed out.
