The cost of sending a child to college can cause financial hardship on many working Kentucky families and those drawing unemployment . In wake of Appalachians massive recent layoffs in the mining industry higher education may not be attainable for many Kentucky students . Let's get together and ask gov. Steve Beshure to lower the cost of Kentucky college tuition in light of our economic hardship and not allow kentukys youth to be left behind in education.

My petition is about children's health issues. With politicians threatening to scrap Obamacare, I have a child who is now wearing braces to help him walk. We need to tell politicians in Washington to not ignore even the youngest person in the fight to keep Obamacare. If it weren't for that, I would have lost my 18 month old son to health problems. I don't want to lose my only son and only child. I love him too much. It breaks my heart to see him that way.

Florida's Governor Rick Scott continues to wage a war on Florida voters. Not only has he cut the early voting days in half including the very popular Sunday before election day, but now he also is purging the voting rolls. This week, voter advocacy groups sued Florida, claiming that the purge disproportionately targets Latino voters. The majority of voters on the list are Latino while they comprise less than 14% of the state's total population, according to Tampa Bay Times.

Several reasons 1. Invasion of Privacy it amounts to unlawful search by monitoring what goes on in your home violation of the 4th Amendment to the US Constitution 2. These Smart Meters give of Radation which can be a health hazzard in that this radiation is transmitted every 15 minutes 3. NV Energy will be instituting TIME OF DAY RATES at TRIPPLE the normal rate between the hours of 1 to 7 PM. Think about that when air conditioning is need in the summer months. How will people living on fixed incomes be able to afford to pay those rates? We are asking for a NO CHARGE OPT OUT from the Nevada PUC

This program needs to be reviewed and changed. The program was supposed to rehabilitate patients released from State Hospitals into the community and become self supporting but thats not the case specifically in the Los Angeles CONREP program. The patients are kept forever and no one has been recommended by the program to be restored to sanity. Those restored are through the Courts without the programs recomendation after costing them and the State hugh amounts of money to fight their cases. The funds utilised by the program is a waste of Dept of Mental Health Funds which is disproportionately spent on a small % of the mentally ill and could be effectively spent on a greater % of the mentally ill who are in need more than those receiving it. CONREP makes patients dependent on on SSI, Medical, and the Program etc eventhough they are ready to become independent. This Program needs to be investigated and reforms are needed sonner, to help the patients become independent. The actual Patients in the Program need to be interviewed and protected from any retaliation to really know the truth about the Program. Eliminate the waste of funds in this Program through proper investigations. The patients are intimidated and frightened to speak due to consequences if they speak out. The statistics about the program are also flawed and incorrect.

Dolphins and whales use their hearing for survival and to find food. The Navy uses high frequency underwater sound for testing in the Hawaiian Islands and in CA. This deafens these animals and others. They die as a result. Please sign this petition so the Navy will STOP using these devices and thus killing these innocent creatures of God!

Give Money from our budget surplus to open up Recreation Centers for our children to have a safe haven . Get them off the streets. Provide meaningful activities ,and mentoring for our children. Our children have been killed while sitting on the steps by stray bullets. We are calling on the Mayor and City Government to protect our children ; invest our tax dollars into their safety. Many people are incarcerated in the Cook County Jail for driving on suspended revoked in Illinois and they need help instead of incarceration. The jail is so full of drivers that have done nothing except for driving on suspended and some have never even had a license. The jail could use this room for more serious crimes and the people could use a program to help them get their license. We need some laws changed to cut down on the number of persons incarcerated.

My petition is about reinstating a law passed in 1933 that prevented investment banks and commercial banks from merging. When this law was in place from 1933 to 1999 our country had many years of economic growth and prosperity.
