Keep Speedworld OpenOur son Brian has been riding at Speedworld since he was 5 years old; Brian is now 21 years old. Motorcycles has kept him focused, out of trouble and drug free from kindergarden to his present age. Without Dan's support of Brian and his abilities, Brian would not be the rider that he is today. Dan operates Speedworld in a very professional and business-like matter. We really respect Dan. In reading of the article in the paper regarding Speedworld, I find it to be a bunch of rubbish and I find it unsubstantial. There are portable buildings on the property, and part of owning a track is redesigning it and moving dirt to challenge the riders on the track. I feel that Dan is being unfairly targeted for whatever reason?? This track is home to many families and motorcycle riders.(you should come out & see). Closing this track will be detrimental to the future of our young riders. The track is a place where people of all ages can ride in a controlled- safe- environment among other riders. I feel that without this track and the support of Dan to our son Brian, he may have fallen to the same demons that a lot of young people face in this world polluted by drug use. Speedworld is a community of riders and families. Speedworld is a positive force in the community.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by sandra/ Matt Mccarty

Bring Michael David Copeland home from IraqMy name is Angela Copeland. My husband, Michael David Copeland, passed away in Baghdad, Iraq, on Saturday, June 9, 2012, while he was working as an aircraft mechanic for a private military contractor at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. We do not have details surrounding his death; neither the company he worked for, DynCorp, nor the U.S. State Department has been forthcoming with information. Weeks have now passed since he died and his body is still not home. We've spoken with officials from the U.S. State Department. And we've spoken with Congress, but we still haven't seen results. Each agency wants to defer blame on to someone else as to why he hasn’t been brought back to the United States. Can anyone tell me why an American citizen, a decorated Marine and National Guardsman, is being treated like this and why they won’t just bring him home? Michael David was a much loved husband, son, brother, grandson, uncle, step-father, cousin, and friend to so many. He doesn't deserve this. My husband was a Texas resident for quite some time and his company was located in Texas, as well as numerous friends and family. I need your help to get to word out in Texas and across the country, and to put pressure on Texas legislators and the U.S. State Department to get Michael David home!7,307 of 8,000 SignaturesCreated by Angela Copeland

Recall Governor ScottGovernor Scott is the most unpopular governor of Florida in many years. Only 20 % approximately of the voters still support his regime. He is trying to purge the voter files of legitimate voters under the guise of eliminating the illegal ones. This is a red herring designed to eliminate the qualified with the few who are not. He bought the governorship with his tremendous wealth and is trying to force his far right views on the rest of us. He represents the polarization that paralyzes good government both locally and nationally.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by stanley tralins

Law to limit work hours in 24 hoursI teach English to our immigrants and so many of them disappear because they work such long hours they can not attend class. I checked our labor law and discovered there is NO limit on the number of hours employees can be forced to work in one 24-hour period. None whatsoever. I have a current student working landscaping who worked 8 a.m. to 11:05 p.m. recently.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Steven G. Allen
