• Stop Pet Abuse-Give Jail Time, Everytime!
Who is tired of seeing people who abuse dogs & cats by beating them or dumping them in the desert, leaving them outside tied up with no water, etc. getting only a slap on the hand, a small fine or not even that but a lecture from a judge? Depending on where you leave I'm sure it differs in punishment. In Arizona it also extends to Greyhounds specifically, too old to race so just dump em'. Regardless of where you live though I'm sure you've seen commercials for your Humane Societies showing abused animals locally. SO PLEASE HELP STOP THE ABUSE1

  • Non-custodial parents have rights too
Why is it that non-custodial parents always have to fight for joint physical custody and only get every other weekend visitation? The court system makes it hard financially and emotionally for non-custodial parents to be just that PARENTS.

  • Supreme Court Judges
I think a constitutional amendment should be sought to eliminate lifetime appointments of U. S. Supreme Court Judges. It's clear that these are not purely constitutional judges because everyone can see the leaning either to the Republican party or to the Democratic party depending on the case brought before them. Therefore, no party should be supported a lifetime.

  • Say NO to factory cow farm at the edge of town of Vermont
The proposed project is the construction of a 960 head (960 animal unit) beef cattle backgrounding facility. It will consist of one beef cattle confinement building measuring 100' by 544' utilizing a 84' by 160' by 12' deep in ground concrete manure storage structure in combination with a dry manure bed-pack manure storage system. The project is proposed by Mr. Barry Bradshaw of 145 Knox Road 200 North, St. Augustine, IL 61474 ( 309-337-6625 ) and is known as Four Aces, LLC. The proposed facility is to be located 3,900' west of Vermont, IL . This factory farm will pollute our drinking water since water table is high in this area. The heavy smell will make the town undesirable and the value of our houses will decline substantially. The air will be heavily polluted with methane and our health will suffer. The residents of Vermont were not asked to participate in the decision of location of this factory farm.

  • Republican Congressmans signing promise to not raise taxes: legal or not
Currently when Republicans are voted into Congress they sign an oath to not raise taxes. This seems contrary to the process of Congress where in our representatives collaborate with one another to pass legislation for the benefit of our country. How can a Senator or Representative promise to not raise taxes before he/she reviews the proposed bills?

  • The Cost of Subsidizing the Members of the U.S. Congress
My petition is about the cost to the American taxpayers to pay for the salaries, sick time, retirement pensions, vacation time, the health care ,which they received, but denied us the U.S.taxpayers. Aside from defense spending, education spending etc., We the People need to sign this petition to tell the members of Congress that they are not doing their jobs and that it is grossly unfair that they cut the budgets for the people, but, of course, they never discuss the Big Fat Budget just to support the U.S. Congress. These are public servants elected by the people. They are not self appointed. This information is not available on mainstream television, radio, newspapers, magazines, internet.
