Dental need is a health issue to be covered for people that can't afford it.Dental and Vision treatment should be covered just like any other health issue, especially for the people that cannot afford it. Veterans, Disabled and people on Medicare that cannot afford it, it should be a program covered by Medicare and Medicaid. It is a preventive medical treatment that helps people not to end up in the hospital to be feed on tubes, helps us be presentable to get that part time job to substitute our benefits, which we have hard time living within.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tasia Robinson

Student loan waiverMany single mothers like Me that are studying to provide a better future to their family should receive a waiver for the student loans that must be paid after six month of graduation. Right now I am unemployed and I am studying full time. Thanks to my entire family I might be able to finish, but it is hard to pay sixty thousand dollars or more after graduation.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Evelyn Christopher

While we are aware of your busy schedule this weekend with the NATO Summit being in town, we would like to take the opportunity of your visit back home to express to you some of the greatest concerns of your South side neighbors. We still believe that CHANGE is possible but in order for us to carry that belief into the voting booth we need to see ACTION from you Mr. President and we need to see them before November 6th!18 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Marissa Brown

21rst century educationPoliticians are cutting funds to public education. For American students to be competitive in the 21st century global market they need to have a quality education. Legislatures need to fund schools first. Americans believe every student should be eligible for a free public education. The sad truth is our government doesn't want to use our tax dollars to pay for that education. We are creating a society of haves and have nots based on the educational opportunities available to our children. We need to be outraged at how other countries are outpacing the United States of America in prioritizing the educating of their children. The other industrial nations are making education one of their top goals, currently America is not.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Charles Flay

Rep. Coffman: Schedule a Town Hall meeting in Aurora today! We have been trying to reach Rep. Coffman and give him the opportunity to tell us how he will represent us -- the 99% of his constituents who are not part of the wealthiest 1%. We have called his local constituent office and his D.C. office. We have tried to reach Rep. Coffman at places across his district. But we haven’t had any luck tracking him down. We have made ourselves available to him. Now it's his turn to make himself available to us -- his constituents. Specifically, we want Rep. Coffman to host a Town Hall in Aurora this June. This would allow current and prospective constituents to know what kind of representative he is and what kind of representative he will be for all of Colorado’s 6th Congressional District. Sign the petition and ask Rep. Coffman to host a public Town Hall in Aurora this June.576 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Colorado Fair Share

Social Security Fairness ActWe need your help! Public servants across the U.S. are penalized by GPO/WEP! Penalties: If you work in a government job and with its own retirement system, not paying into Social Security, you risk being penalized by WEP and/or GPO: The Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP): You can lose up to half or more of any Social Security benefits you have earned in other work paying required FICA taxes. The Government Pension Offset (GPO): If you are married to someone who is earning Social Security, you will probably lose all SS retirement or survivor benefits due you from taxes paid by spouse during the marriage. Check out: http://www.ssfairness.com/ In December 2011, Senators Kerry (D-MA) and Collins (R-ME) introduced the Senate version of the Social Security Fairness Act (S. 2010), which would repeal the Government Pension Offset and Windfall Elimination Provision. Representatives McKeon (R-CA) and Berman (D-CA) had previously introduced the bill in the House (H.R. 1332). Take Action Today: Urge your Senators and Representatives to cosponsor the Social Security Fairness Act. See if your Representative is a cosponsor.
