Limiting Excessive Volume on CommercialsPetition the the FCC to eliminate the television networks both locally and nationally from raising the volume of television and radio programs during commercials. This practice is both an abuse of the airwaves and causes unnecessary actions of the viewer to constantly adjust the sound to avoid unnecessary high volumes.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Phil Deutscher

Put our foster children BEFORE their parentsHelp our state realize that our foster children need more protection from the hurt and pain than their parents do. Termination of parental rights is seen as a "death sentence" to a parent in the eyes of the court. It is time to realize that some parents are a death sentence to their children.67 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Melissa Goff

Children's Day Weekend CelebrationMy petition is about setting the first weekend in October aside for the Annual Children's Day weekend celebration. There have been many attempts in the past to have children's day celebration in the U.S. without success. This is the time to get it going. We all like Mother's Day weekend and Father's Day weekend, but, we do not have U.S. Children's Day weekend celebration. Plus, many countries around the world have Children's Day Celebration.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Oyibo H. Afoaku

Regulate the BanksAs someone who is watching the Chase Bank fiasco--an echo of times past--I am appalled at: 1. Congressional and presidential inaction, resistance or inability to pass regulation 2. the unfortunate weakness of the Wall Street protesters to focus and sustain positive reform, I want to issue a call for a "Day of Withdrawal"...e.g., a date when folks pull their funds from their respective banks IF some kind of regulation is not successful. Such collective protest--with real financial consequences--may just be the thing that can launch reform that protects the 'regular folk' from being run roughshod by irresponsible politicians and financiers.
