• NJ Democrats: Grow a backbone!
Republican Gov. Chris Christie is campaigning for Mitt Romney and Scott Walker while pushing a legislative agenda that is as cruel, unfair and counterproductive as any conservative con-artist ot Tea Party pinhead in America. Meanwhile, his biggest cheerleaders are Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Senate President Steve Sweeney and Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver and her Essex County employers. If is time for New Jersey Democrats to stand up to the bully instead of rolling over for Republicans!

  • No Way Out of Marriage
There should be a Constitutional Amendment banning divorce in all cases save adultery as taught by the Christian scriptures and the founder of the Christian religion. An amendment should be added to the constitution forbidding all other divorce in order to protect traditional marriage.

  • Governor from the State Of New York
Get the minimum wage higher in the State than $7.25 an hour. This does not work for the State. What will work for the State $11.00. If CA can have a wage of $10.00 why not NY have an $11.00 that would work for most people in the State, 35 hours a week at $11.00 that would come out to $385.00 a week people can live that way. Put something away for savings too.

  • Pass the California DISCLOSE Act
California could turn the tide on election reform by passing the California DISCLOSE Act, a measure that would shed light on the shadowy interests who depend on secrecy to influence elections. The California DISCLOSE Act (Assembly Bill 1648) would bring true transparency to state elections, ensuring that top donors for every political ad are shown in the ads themselves -- so California voters know who is trying to buy their support. The bill is just one vote shy of passage. Sign our petition to holdout state legislators and Assembly leaders to pass the California DISCLOSE Act today.

  • Use American Natural Gas, Not Arab Oil
Since the Oil Embargo of the 1970's I have listened to members of Congress lament the fact that the use of FOREIGN OIL was America's only hope to remain a modern, industrialized nation. That is not the case today due to America's abundance of natural gas. A program to encourage immediate use of this resource will create American JOBS, JOBS, JOBS, save American lives now being spent keeping the shipping lanes open for FOREIGN OIL and provide a huge assist in balancing our national budget.

  • Allow awards commitee to read submitted awards recommendations by-passing liasons.
It's about fairness. There are still veterans from WWII and the wars after that, that have earned and deserve recognition for action that helped win the wars. It should be considered by a group of people that understand what the action was and why it deserves recognition. The way it is now, the request first goes to liaisons who decide to allow it to get to the proper channel for evaluation. It gives them too much power and control over the request. The Awards Committee should be the judges and not the liaisons.
