Scott Thompson, Yahoo CEO, has to goScott Thompson has been caught openly lying about his resume, claiming a degree he never had! If any of us 99% who play by the rules would have lied about something so fundamental, we would have been fired on the spot. Why should the rules be different for Scott Thompson?? He needs to be fired by the Yahoo Board - immediately!3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bhavesh Shah

Take Action for Water!Adena Springs Ranch wants 13+ million gallons/day of water to irrigate 10,000 acres of pasture to feed 30,000 cows. That’s more water usage than the entire City of Ocala! Right out of the aquifer that feeds iconic Silver Springs that is already suffering a 50% reduction in average flow—this project will reduce it even more. Manure and urine will pollute drinking water supplies and runoff will end up in Silver Springs and the Silver and Ocklawaha Rivers, both designated Outstanding Florida Waterways. In a presentation to the Alachua County commission, Robert Knight, the founder and director of the H.T. Odum Florida Springs Institute, a Gainesville-based nonprofit organization, said the springs that feed into the Santa Fe River, including Poe and Ginnie springs, have drained at much steeper rates than the decrease in rainfall would warrant. That, Knight said, meant the culprit was human pumping. Voice your opposition to the super consumption request and help protect our drinking water, springs and rivers!1,084 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Shirley Lasseter

Rescind Tax-Exempt Status to Politically-Active ChurchesChurches are tax exempt as long as they remain politically neutral. That's not happening. Opposition to gay rights, a woman's right to choose, religious plurality; scientific findings relevant to evolution, global warming, and human experience come primarily from churches and religious organizations. As long as they make money teaching and preaching these doctrines, they should be subject to federal and state taxation.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by M Charles DiPrima

Save Michigan's Great LakesWe need to ban Hydo Fracking our land for gasoline using known carcinogens that pollute not just our great lakes, but also drain and poison our many inland lakes. Hydo fracking has already proven in other states to cause serious damage to drinking water, human health, livestock and wildlife, freshwater aquifers, rivers, and air quality.19 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Christa Melnyczenko

Civil Unions for ColoradoGov. John Hickenlooper should call a special session to allow an up or down vote on the Colorado Civil Union Act that Republican House Speaker Frank McNulty refused to allow to come to the floor of the Colorado House of Representatives this session.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Roger Lynn

Red Cross Blood, Tainted with GreedWorkers at the American Red Cross located in both Michigan and Ohio are being forced to strike over rising concerns about understaffing and cuts in health care benefits, despite $2 billion in revenue from blood donations. Long shifts with short staff and high pressure resulted in over $30 million in FDA fines in recent years. Without a voice at the table, issues regarding blood safety will only get worse. We are calling on Gail McGovern, Executive Director of the American Red Cross, who gets paid over $1 million per year, to stop the agenda to cut the employees out of the collective bargaining process.64 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lynne Meade

Pass the Safe Chemicals Act Now!Action is needed to protect American families from toxic chemicals. Early puberty, childhood cancer, infertility, and learning and developmental disabilities are rising at alarming rates. Studies show links between toxic chemicals we’re exposed to every day and many of these negative health trends. Almost all pregnant women in America contain toxic chemicals in their bodies. The laws on the books do not protect the health of our kids and families. This is unacceptable. Tell Congress to Act Now.2,316 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Hannah Pingree

Credit Card Rip OffsI would like for Credit Card Companies (banks etc.) to not be able to ruin a person credit rating just because. I have always paid my credit card payments on time, always tried to pay more than the minimum but at the very least I have paid the minimum. Recently I paid, or thought I was paying 2/3 of my balance so I could increase my credit score. Instead I had my credit limit reduced thus my score is still lower than I would like it to be. Due to unprecedented expenses (divorce, legal fees etc.) my credit card balances were high.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Janet Levy

Elect the President of the U.S. by Popular VoteNearly all of our representatives in local, state and the United States government are elected by direct popular vote except for the President (and Vice President) of the United States. Although voters in every state cast a vote for the U.S. President they are actually, in effect, voting for a slate of electors who in turn vote in the Electoral College for the person who will be President. There have been times in the past when a person who won the popular vote did not become President. We need to end the Electoral College and choose our President by direct popular vote.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Harvey Katz

Red Light ViolationMy petition is about Red Light Violations in the State of Illinois. The reason why people should care about this are many. However, the main point of reason to care is because the RLV is oppressive. RLV does not help control traffic accidents as much as they take money from empty pockets and most of the time unfairly. The city of Chicago yellow light caution is suppose to be set at 3 seconds long when they are really 2.89 seconds in most areas. Most places have no warning that they are there so that the driver knows to wait for the red light to end. Most are placed in low income areas. And, we are not really sure how that money is being used for the benefit of all. They are truly unfair.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Katie
