7/7/201—Introduced Glass-Steagall Restoration Act of 2011—Amends the Banking Act of 1933 (Glass-Steagall Act).

While traveling in the US, families with children under the age of 12 are now allowed to use metal detectors without additional screening, but pregnant women are still forced to either enter body scanners or endure a pat down. TSA should allow pregnant women to walk through metal detectors without being forced to go through additional, invasive screenings.

Thousands of people are forced to pay a private attorney to handle their discrimination cases once EEOC submits a "right to sue" letter. The EEOC has the power to prosecute each case. Statistics show that they prefer not to, leaving people to pay for legal council. The majority cannot afford the high legal fees are are forced to do nothing allowing their employer to go free.

This court has and is continuing to rewrite the laws and Constitution heavily in favor of the one percent over the rights of the people.

Through the month of November, celebrate all Native Americans. Through them the country was open. "The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us."

The quickest and most effect way to stop corruption in our politics is for the American people to insist on reforms to their relationship with their political representatives.

The notion of any position in government running for life is an idea which should have died with rule by monarchy.It invites a tyranny of the few affecting all. While an independent Court is best for all, a wholly unaccountable Court serves no one.

On May 12, 2012. the U.S. Department of Labor will cut federal funding to hundreds of thousands of US Families across the country. In California unemployed were given only two weeks' notice of loss of benefits, even though these benefits were expected to last for up to 20 weeks. The Fed believes 11% unemployment in California is an acceptable number and therefore they do not need to honor the 20 weeks promised to those seeking work. This could result in Californians' losing their homes, apartments, and cars. Tell lawmakers to support the hundreds of thousands of families across the country hit hardest by the economic downturn and act swiftly in extending federal unemployment benefits by fully extending the 2011 unemployment emergency assistance in 2012.

We need to have our politicians tell the truth when they campaign. The romney campaign has ads that are blatant lies of the Obama Administration set to run on TV. See Wadhington Post article of April 30, 2012 regarding automobile plants in Finland, traffic light manufacturing in China and solar plants in Mexico. These companies/plants are right here Ipin the US NOT overseas. Broadcasting companies Ned to check the facts before airing blatant lies!

At a town hall meeting in Newport last Thursday, Governor Paul LePage accused Maine state employees of being “about as corrupt as you can be.” I agree with Republican State Legislators Roger Katz and Patrick Flood and others who have called on Gov. LePage to apologize. Public workers do important work for all Maine people. For Gov. LePage to call them "corrupt" is baseless and insulting to every public worker who has dedicated their lives to making Maine a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

It is way past time for elections to be held on Saturdays, not Tuesdays, for it allows poor voters a better opportunity to get to the polls. It is far more difficult for low-level workers to get off during the middle of the work week, and farmers and ranchers no longer need the few days it used to take to go the polls. Today, with the right wing doing all it can to disenfranchise voters with new voter ID laws, it is high time to change election day to Saturday.
