This petition is about legalizing marijuana. Its about the fact that marijuana remains illegal to support corporate profits.

We the people of the United States must act to limit the powers of Corporations. Our government has become corrupted by a system of political financing that puts our politicians at the mercy of the banks and corporations that finance their campaigns. THIS MUST STOP!! Laws and tax codes cannot be fair. They are written for politicians by corporations seeking to profit from tax exemptions, and imprison larger portions of our population for longer periods of time in order to have them work for pennies a day in the penal system [as in the case of UNICORP]. The only way to stop it is to provide fair and equal financing for all federal elections. This is a big change to the status quo for our politicians who are dependent on their ties to big business to maintain their political coffers full. It means no more political coffers, and no more 100 million dollar campaigns. It means clean and fair elections for all politicians and political parties.It also means an end to corporate control of our congress.

Prescription drug addicts in California can currently visit multiple doctors and obtain multiple prescriptions for their opiates of choice without anyone noticing the crime. The Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System (CURES) is a prescription monitoring program that keeps track of and reports fraudulent and suspicious prescription cases. However, due to its optional enrollment only 4% of California doctors and pharmacists use it. We need 100% participation to effectively combat prescription drug abuse in our state.

Any elected official that does not support the affordable health care act for all, must forfeit any tax payer funded healthcare for themselves and their families. It is not fair for one group of individuals to receive health care paid for by American taxpayers and not support it for every American. This sends a message that they must follow a consistent vision and practices in their ideology.

Our Political Representatives want to cut BOTH the Health Insurance and our Social Security of all Americans. However, they seem to be unwilling to reduce their own benefits by an EQUAL percentage of Cost. Do you believe they should help the Deficit by offering to reduce their own benefits to show they believe it is the right thing to do for the budget?

raise minimum wage to $10.00/hr or $12.00/hr for part time work. Raising wage will allow parents to work 1 job instead of 1.5 jobs and spend more time raising their kids.Create more jobs by allowing people working 2 or more jobs to be able to afford to work 1 job thereby opening up a job for someone else who needs it. Creates more disposable income for people who will spend it, which will create even more jobs.

The supreme court has turned into an extension of the right wing Since when is it their job to "appoint' a president? How dare they say that a corporation is a person? How dare they provide a legal way for corporations to spend unlimited in order to BUY votes for the candidate that will make sure they get their way? There are many gay people in the United States that would like to get married someday, but can't. It is rediculous that in this day and age people are saying it is wrong. They are just two people in love like everyone else!

Florida Dept of Corrections statistic: On average, there were 56,088 inmates in Florida's county detention facilities during the month of November 2011. In comparison, in November 2010, there were 58,694 inmates incarcerated by county facilities in Florida. This is a 4.4% decrease from last year. It should be up to the voters whether the congress deserves pay raises. Also if they cannot pass a budget, then they should get NO pay!
