Retired presidents, vice presidents, and congressmen receive outlandish pensions, in addition to lavish health insurance for life. They really don't need this or deserve this. Education with Virginia teachers are facing a very difficult budget cut. Teachers have not had a raise in 5 years. We are calling on a stand to give a raise or a big amount of a BONUS to make up for the tough, hard economy.

My petition is about Gary Stein, he was a Sgt. that belittled President Barack Obama and also called him a "liar." He was repeatedly told to stop making his comments on faceback as a tea party participant while in the military, he did not and he was discharged from the military last month. He was given a general discharge which I understand after a few months he will be able to have it changed to an "Honorable Discharge.

I have been in the mental health system for over 35 years, and I am one of the fortunate ones because I have the ability to voice what so many others cannot. Having a mental illness does not mean a person is not intelligent, I skipped 3 grades in school. The stigma is alive and well-enough!

Since Our President Obama's inauguration Republicans' only seemed to be focused with contempt and disdain and the drive to see Obama fail, void of the need to represent the Middle class Americans, but aligned only with huge Republican lobbyists and their corporations they represent.....

More than 800,000 people were arrested for just possession of marijuana. Over half of all the arrest each year 52% to be exact, are for marijuana drug possession. All that energy and you can actually spend more time catching a robber or rapist instead of a poor doobie smoker just relaxing at the end of the day. Fact people do don't get addicted or need rehab, but our wonderful justice system forces people who smoke pot the ultimate choice jail or rehab. What would you pick? There is no documentation that proves that pot is addictive or causes lung cancer, yet our government lies and says it is bad for you. Every year Canada holds its Cannabis festival with only one recorded incident of drunk and disorder arrest. Year after year it is held very peacefully. Don't you think about time to end the madness and legalize it? The cannabis plant is a very useful plant we can use it for paper and stop killing our trees. We can use it for medical use and gas even. Just think America we won't have to fight an oil war anymore and make jobs even with happier workers. We are the most creative nation in the world, but we waste our time, treasure and the lives of our young people in wars in the middle east. Let's cut military spending and spend our resources on educating our young people and re-envigorating our economy.
