Why do US consumers have to settle for poisons in our food! Mexico, Britain and most modern countries do not allow US made food and beverage products with these harmful ingredients to be sold in their countrys. So WHY do we in US not have the same option?

I would like to know how many people who make over $500,000/year want equality in tax rates and NOT preferential treatment because they are wealthy and can afford to hire accountants and tax attorneys to find ways to pay less taxes. Income is income. AND, truly how many acknowledge they were not able to do it alone--that they benefited from public investments in infrastructure, research, public education, health care, etc? Whereas, the Founding Fathers created a Federal Government which was not allowed to levy an Income Tax on its Citizens, the 16th Amendment changed this in 1913 and now allows the Federal Government to take away the wealth of the Citizens of the States and place undue burdens on the States for the return of their Citizen's money. Whereas, the Federal Debt per person was $12 in 1910 before the Income Tax amendment and was $28,229 per person in 2006 and growing, the need for limits on Federal spending is obvious.

There are many unemployed people in the United States. When you call a company these days a computer answers instead of a person. If you don't know who to contact it is very frustrating. Computer answering should be banned, all companies should be required to have a person answer the phone who is a resident of the United States and a citizen of the United States.

American's should be empowered to choose cleanest, safest, most affordable non-petroleum motor fuel that best serves their needs; today those fuels are electricity and natural gas. To make this happen auto & truck makers must be motivated to mass produce affordable natural gas and electric vehicles. Fuel developers must be motivated to deploy fuel stations in locations that meet consumer needs. This requires POLICY LEADERSHIP. I'm calling on President Obama and the Congress to enact policy that empowers the CONSUMER to CHOOSE the motor fuels and vehicles that best serve their needs.

Several states now allow people to be jailed for debts. A great lead story on this came up today about a woman being jailed for a $280 medical bill she didn't really owe. Not only did she not get an apology she went to jail and had to pay $600. Outrageous doesn't cover it.

Whereas, the Founding Fathers created a Congress with a House of Representatives to represent the people and a Senate to represent the States, the States now have no representation in the Federal Government and the they are being forced to bear burdens for which they have no representation, it is therefore necessary to restore the Senators as representatives of the States. Whereas, the 17th Amendment was added to the constitution in 1913, in 1917, which is the four years necessary for a majority of the Senators to no longer be representatives of the States, they voted for President Wilson to turn a European war into World War I by allowing him to declare war on Germany. This and the other Wars encouraged by the Senate is more than enough justification to show the need for repealing the 17th Amendment.

16-year-old African American, was shot and killed while in her mother's front yard in Chadbourn, North Carolina. The 23-year-old Caucasian male who fired the fatal shot from the house across the street was taken in for questioning, but he has not been charged with a crime of any kind. Because he claims it was an accident, the police let him go—despite the fact that he admits he fired the shot and police found a Confederate flag and Nazi literature in his home
