HR 4170 is a not a bail out its a BAIL IN. Instead of taking money out of the economy HR 4170 will release millions perhaps billions of dollars from educated professionals all over Iowa and billions over the US directly back into a struggling economy.

Homeless, broke, and alone, Anna Brown hobbled into the St Mary's Hospital ER with an ankle injury. Anna, uninsured, was told to leave; when she refused, the police were called. Anna, sitting in a wheel chair, was physically removed and arrested for "disturbing the peace and resisting arrest." Video, obtained by a local TV news program, under Missouri's Sunshine Act, clearly shows how helpless Anna was. Anna was carried, by a Richmond Heights, MO, police officer to a jail cell; she was left on the concrete floor writhing and crying in agony. That is how she died! The only air time this travesty has received was on the Mike Malloy Radio Show shortly after it occured.

Will you sign my petition to request the Louisiana House of Representatives and the Louisiana Senate to insert LATAN in HB1 as an amendment for financial support? Rich politicians from the Senate Committee on Education are ending financial aid for women and low income students. The committee consists of rich attorneys who cannot relate to Joe the Plummer or Harriet the Hair Dresser. Michigan's Republican legislature has used the "immediate action" clause to pass over 550 laws since January. This clause was intended for a natural disaster or like event. Currently, Michigan Republicans are using this clause to pass bills contrary to the formal legislative process. Governor Snider and his Republican zealots are out of control and need to know that the state belongs to all its residents not just big business.

It is not cool to ban people from public lands to stifle free speech.

The US Bill of Rights does not read "We the Corporations," it reads "We the PEOPLE." A key element to the Citizen's United debate is the false notion that corporations are entitled to free speech equal to that of a US citizen. Many other perversions of democracy currently being asserted fall from this same false premise. A 'corporation' is >only< a hypothetical legal construct created for the purpose of organizing capital and managing business liability. Nothing more. This fact needs to be re-asserted in current political awareness.
