H.R. 4067 is economic blackmail to coerce the Navajo and Hopi nations to give up all water rights, forever, to ALEC members Peabody Coal, the Salt River Project, APS, and other owners of the Navajo Generating Station (NGS), in exchange for no compensation. It also will prevent any litigation by the Navajo and Hopi nations should they incur any future financial losses or physical harm as a result of water loss and/or water contamination.

Jan Brewer has attempted to make anything in the way of progress in the state of Arizona become an issue that does anything but improve the conditions of life for Arizonans. She is constantly doing something outlandish and recently orchestrated an attack on all disabled and poor people who recieve food stamps in Arizona. When the disabled finally after many years received a much needed cost of living increase, she encouraged the Republicans in the state senate to rewrite the rules for food stamps and taking even more than was increased out of everyone's food stamps. The point is, what good is it for the Federal Government in the form of Social Security to give a cost of living increase if the state is going to take it back out of these poor people's food assistance. This was an attack on the poor and this woman and her henchmen need to be removed from office.

The U.S. banking system is heavily (HEAVILY) invested in worthless European PIIGS sovereign debt bonds. The U.S. banking and Federal political system have already planned a secret program of stone-walling and bailing out the top 5 U.S. banks AGAIN. This will debase the dollar's value first to 50 cents and eventually down to 30 cents of the NOW dollar.

So called "Blowout Preventers" have not been improved. This is the second anniversary of the Deep Water Horizon disaster, the worst oil spill in history, and NO SERIOUS ADVANCES in safety procedures, cleanup technology, and blow out prevention for ocean floor drilling have been made. The same insufficient technology is still being allowed that was used in 1979. Since drilling operations have expanded since 2010, industry experts say an even higher risk exists of another, perhaps worse, oil blowout. Currently corporations receive many of the benefits meant for citizens but bear few of the risks and responsibilities. Given that current law treats them like people, they must be held accountable like people. Specifically, they should be jailed, closed, or terminated when they are convicted of crimes just like people..

Ever since the disastrous crash of the 20's and 30's, we enjoyed the protection the Glass Steagall Act afforded us. That Act kept "investment banks" and commercial banks separate, so that "investment bankers", or gamblers, could not gamble with our mortgages and business loans.. When the Act was rescinded in 1999 our current financial troubles began, because it allowed "investment bankers" to gamble by devising risky loans, disguising them as low-risk, and passing them on to unsuspecting banks and other investors. The new buyers have the risk of losing their money and many of them have lost from the foreclosures and other failed loans.

As in Grover Norquist Pledge...make " every" member of Congress sign a pledge not to gut S.Security, Medicare,(as in turning into Vouchers) Medicaid, Food Stamps, Childhood Hunger, Student Loan Programs. Call them out....as the GOP does. And do an agressive campaign against those that do not sign....via Norquest. The President is in the pockets of too many corporate interests and although he is still the 2012 choice, he isn't strong enough. He has only has a little time to do his "Change" we aren't believing much in any longer.

The first citizens of America have had their land, their religion and related forms of worship taken by foreign forces...American settlers. They now live primarily in poverty (80% unemployed in Pine Ridge reservation) and need to fight to prevent government from further ruining their land and to obtain reimbursements from treaties signed and never honored. Please do something.

Last week, the Vatican released a report reprimanding U.S. women religious (aka, "sisters" and "nuns") within the organization known as the "Leadership Conference of Women Religious." The report claims that the LCWR and its members are in "grave" error because they have questioned the Church's problematic teachings related to women, sexuality, and prophetic engagement in the world.
