  • Two parties can't represent 300 million people: We demand Proportional Representation
While we in the US lag behind, most modern democracies have embraced the idea of Proportional Representation (PPR) as a way to increase the people's voice in government. Under this system, votes are cast nationwide for political parties which in turn send representatives to the legislature. This allows more than two parties to hold seats in government, more accurately represents the will of the people, and prevents the kind of political blackmail we face here in the US, where if you don't vote for one the two parties, you tacitly vote for the one in the lead. Isn't it time that America holds multiparty elections and becomes at least as democratic as Germany or France? Help us make this great country even more free.

  • Boating on the Sprain Lake, Westchester County, NY
The Sprain Lake in Westchester County, NY is a perfect and very safe place for boating. I was involved in a rowing accident on the Harlem River 6 years ago that killed a friend of mine. I have the backing of Yonkers and the Town of Greenburgh, but have not been able to get Westchester County to allow it. No funds are being requested, only access.

  • Embargo Exports of Refined Petroleum Products
For the last year, our largest export has been refined petroleum products. Unless exportation of gasoline and related products are ceased, gasoline prices will not decline regardless of levels of production of crude oil. The mainstream media have been ignoring the the US has been a net exporter of gasoline for over a year--at a time when Americans have been paying unnecessarily high prices at the pump.

  • RNC Spokesperson: GOP PLAN "SAME AS BUSH"
Last week, the Republican National Committee's specialty media secretary ADMITTED that the Republican Party's economic platform In 2012 will be the SAME AS IT WAS DURING THE BUSH YEARS. "I think it's that program - just updated." http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/04/23/469123/rnc-spokeswoman-republican-economic-platform-will-be-the-bush-program-just-updated/ ARE THEY KIDDING? We hereby call on ALL AMERICANS to say just ONE WORD to Republicans in Congress: "NO." ...and to remind the Republicans that America is a Democracy—NOT a plutocracy—and that they work for US.

  • Tell Congress to NOT let banks disenfranchise working class people!
Now that properties are affordable for working class people, banks are saying NO to offers that require financing and only working with CASH buyers. MOST people buy with a loan because it takes such a long time to save to buy cash. This behavior is prolonging the real estate market recovery, supressing values AND allowing the Rich to get Richer. Why should a hardworking person NOT be able to buy a property if they are willing to buy it and can get a mortgage to buy and fix!

i think that we need the gov to get off the backs of gas powered cars and hop on to some clean burning fuel sorce. we should push them into pushing the big car companys into makeing better cars. it would take the need of over priced gas. good would be cheaper cause of the cheaper fuel. not only cars but trucks boats planes all of them need to stop running on gas

  • Jobs For America
There is one sure way out of the recession, jobs and plenty of them. A working America is a strong America. No homeless people No foreclosures. Sending our children to school with lunches. Adding to Social Security and helping the economy. We also have to do away with the Georeg Bush tax cuts. In a democracy people pay the same taxes.
