    My bank has sold my home & I'm in danger of being homeless in a matter of 4 days Even though I own a commercial property that is close to selling, the GREEDY bank wouldn't wait. I'm 63 years old w/ no where to go & no family... I want to call attention to this for the sake of others in the same situation. Corporate GREED is rampant & black hearted !

    Money controls everything in the world and now in politics, and it breaks large portions of our system...causing abuses of our laws. Even today, two "money men" decided who would be the two front runners in the GOP primarys...so whoever would vote, only had the choice the two Money men put in place, basically negating the "choices" of the voters, and further causing my vote not to count.

  • Justice Where Justice Is Due
    On 4/18 my husband was the victim of racism! And is now about to be deported back to his country. I'm not going to go into detail, but it was definately racial, and shouldn't be happening. He has paid for his so called "crime" and they are still trying to take him away from his family. Anybody that knows me or him know we do NOT deserve this, but now even I'm being treated as if I have NO RIGHTS as an American Citizen. Because in the end he'll survive and the only ones hurt are our two kids left without a father, without even understanding why.

    How can a democracy survive when it is perfectly legal to lie and slander a public figure? Please sign my petition to reverse the 1964 Supreme Court decision that if you are a public official, you are not protected by the defamation laws. In 1967, they were expanded to include all public figures. Now people believe that if it is said on TV or the radio, it has to be true. Which is simply not true. They can and do lie.

    Currently a company owing past taxes can contribute to a camapign, recieve a reduced past tax settelment and profit from enacted legislation. This double dipping uses tax payer dollars to fund campaigns and should be illegal. If I owe 1Mil$, settle at $300,000, donate $200,000 and make profit on proposed legislation. This is how tax payers unwittingly fund campaigns and should be illegal.

  • Simplify The Path to Legal Immigration
    After 23 years in the United States, after paying taxes, after filing petition after petition for permanent resident status and visa, this individual must return to her birth country because the legal process failed to work. Much discussion is being held to create a pathway for those who are here illegally. What about those who have exhausted all legal attempts to achieve permanent resident status? Other industrialized countries have a more steamlined, straight forward path to residency. Why not the United States.

  • Increase the $2.13 hr tip wages
    The $ 2.13 wage for tip employees is long over due to be changed. This wage was put in effect around 1991. As you can see the cost of living has increased as well as the minimum wage, currently at $ 7.25 hr. Tip employees need to have a increase to reflect the cost of living. Were asking people all over to help change a horrible situation. How would you like to work for a wage that is over 20 years old? Thanks for helping
