• Abortion is personal
Abortion is personal. The state legislature should not be working on personal matters.

  • Keep Minnesota's Middle Class Strong
Despite bipartisan opposition, supporters of the irresponsible "Right to Work" Constitutional Amendment are trying to move the bill forward in the Minnesota Senate. They know that Minnesotans oppose this unsafe, unfair and unnecessary law, and have resorted to desperate gimmicks to try to pass it. This bill is not what its supporters say it is. Plain and simple, this isn't a right to work; it's the right to hurt workers, our economy, and the middle class.

  • United States Postal Service Lexington Processing Facility
In February 2012, the U.S.P.S. announced the closing of the mail processing facility on Nandino Blvd. in Lexington, KY, thereby rerouting mail processing to Louisville, KY and Knoxville, TN. This will be devastating to the area for several reasons. It will impact several hundred employees and there families, who may have to relocate to different areas, it will impact the delivery of important mail such as prescription medication and bill payments being delayed, and local businesses where these employees and there families frequent. This will be devastating to the economy in Lexington.

  • Withdraw from Afghanistan NOW!
The number of direct and indirect civilian casualties in Afghanistan resulting from U. S.-led military actions is estimated to be anywhere from 9,415 to 29,007. The latest is the murder of 16 civilians, among them 9 children, by a U. S. Army Staff Sgt. in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 11, a soldier who had already served 3 tours of duty in Iraq. Our massive deployment of over 109,000 soldiers in Afghanistan is a strategically flawed and misdirected effort which has bankrupted our country and killed and maimed our young soldiers under ill-defined "national security" sloganeering.

  • Found Animal Report Law
Keeping pets out of shelters nationwide, and maybe even world-wide, and preventing millions of lost pets from becoming eternally lost can be as simple as having cooperation. Maybe most of the "strays" will go back to their home no one knew they had instead of being re-"adopted" or euthanized. And I have an idea.

  • Stop War on Doctors and Chronic Pain Patients
The Arkansas Medical Board is attacking Doctors for Doing There Job and Treating People with Pain. The doctors are emergency suspended if they refuse to abandoned treatment of chronic pain patients. The patients are left with no medical care in life threatening situations by the medical board actions and no options to continue treatment with the few doctors left having long waiting lists and no medical records or referral after their longtime general practice doctor has been attacked and shut down. Chronic Pain is a disease and the Rights of these Patients need to be Protected as the rights of every citizens to be treated for pain as determined by medical doctors not the DEA and government entities. The government needs to acknowledge the epidemic that has been created by the war on doctors and enact emergency protection for the patients and doctors until an independent review can be conducted and a system to protect patients with chronic pain from being denied life saving treatment. If medical records support the need for narcotic pain medication, doctors should be not only allowed but required to provide it without fear of prosecution.

  • Stop "Smart" Meters Until They Can Be Proven Safe & Secure
By 2018 all of the Hawaiian islands are due to be blanketed with "smart" meters. The health risks of electromagnetic radiation exposure and other issues such as skyrocketing bills, privacy invasion, in-home surveillance and hacking vulnerabilities have not been addressed. The World Health Organization has classified radio frequency radiation a Class 2B possible carcinogen. The American Academy of Environmental Medicine has called for a moratorium on smart meters in homes and schools. Experts agree that smart meters are unnecessary for grid modernization. We're calling on the Governor and the state legislature to stop smart meters until they can be proven safe and secure.

  • Save Alabama's Mental Health System
Because of a shortfall in the General Fund, Alabama's Department of Mental Health will have to close the state hospitals caring for patients committed with severe mental illness and move the patients to local communities by September 30. Without enough time and money to prepare local facilities, we risk tragic consequences-- mainly death by suicide but also increases in crime and potentially homicide. We must call on our legislators to fully fund the DMH for our own safety and that of the patients. • REMOVE RUSH FROM KQMS Radio Redding
Rush Limbaugh has gone to far in the arena of Freedom of Speech when he defamed Sandra Fluke and her request to get contraception. Not only does she pay taxes to support such, but so do all of us who know how important a young person's need for contraceptive information is.
