Regardless of how you feel about Zimmerman, he's an American citizen and he has a right to his day in court. This is an attempt to deny him that day and it is shameful! A medical marijuana bill is headed for a vote in the Senate after a committee unanimously voted to support the measure. Our Governor, John Lynch can veto the bill, but that veto can be overruled with enough legislative support.

This is not a job creating act, it will repeal major portions of laws designed to stop corruption. It will almost completely demolish Dodd-Frank. Urge President Obama to not sign this law.

We the people hereby demand that America's school principals, teachers and staff, including bus drivers, provide a safe environment for our children. Charges need to be filed against those that do not adhere to strict guidelines regarding ANY incidence of bullying or adverse behavior among students during school hours.

Gasoline prices are at a record high and soaring. The Maryland tax payers should not be burdened more, by adding additional taxes to gasoline. The high cost of gasoline has already imposed hardships on many families who can barely feed their children.

Fast and Furious, President Obama and Attorney General Holder's operation to send guns secretly into Mexico, resulted in the death of American Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry as well as hundreds of Mexican nationals. It is time that President Obama and Attorney General Holder recognize the multi-national wave of death and destruction for which they are responsible. Mexican citizens, as well as Americans, died from bullets fired from guns that our government illegally authorized to be moved into Mexico. It's time that Obama and Holder accept their responsibility in this matter.

The Govenor has engaged in a singleminded attempt to reduce funding to education throughout the Commonwealth. There is no concern about the future of our children and students. He is focused on reducing education funding as he is maintaining the same level of appropriations for the other items in the state budget.

The U.S. Supreme Court is hearing legal challenges to the Affordable Care Act this week. A decision to overturn the law or any of its provisions could result in the loss of benefits to seniors, women, children and families. Recently, Attorney General Cuccinelli stated that unless there are criminal penalties, he would be comfortable breaking the law by not implementing the health care law —regardless of what the Supreme Court decides. After the embarrassment over his global warming lawsuit against UVA professors, we would have thought that the Attorney General would lick his wounds and lay low for a while. But he is continuing his crusade against the health care law. Since the Affordable Care Act was signed into law on March 23, 2010, Attorney General Cuccinelli has consistently opposed the new law with several lower court challenges. Instead of fighting foreclosure fraud and holding big banks accountable, Attorney General Cuccinelli has wasted time and taxpayer dollars fighting a law which already provides free preventive care, protection against discrimination based on pre-existing conditions, help with prescription drug costs, and a ban on lifetime coverage limits to hundreds of thousands of Virginians. And make no mistake about it; he has the full support of Governor Bob McDonnell. In fact, the Governor has found his own way to block the health care law by calling on the General Assembly to halt implementation of the Health Benefits Exchange—a critical part of the Affordable Care Act. Attorney General Cuccinelli calls his blocking of the health care law a “power struggle” between himself and the federal government. We call it: playing politics with the health care of millions of Virginians. And we want it to stop.

MANY AMERICANS DIE EVERY DAY BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE, THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE PREVENTIVE CARE, AND WHEN THEY ARE SICK NEED TO GO TO EMERGENCY CARE, SOMETIMES TOO LATE, AND IS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. NO OTHER DEVELOPED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD HAS ITS POPULATION WITHOUT HEALTH INSURANCE. THE REPUBLICANS AND HEALTH CARE CORPORATIONS ARE SPENDING MILLIONS TO REPEAL OBAMACARE, WHICH WILL PROVIDE AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE FOR THOSE 40 MILLIONS FELLOW AMERICANS.
