  • Minnesotans want GMOs labeled!
    The Minnesota Legislature is considering a bill that would label foods containing genetically engineered ingredients (GMOs). More than 9 out of 10 consumers support labeling GMOs. Yet the Minnesota House just voted against this measure. And in the Minnesota Senate, it hasn't even gotten an initial committee hearing. Now's the time to tell legislators: I have a right to know about GMOs in the food I'm buying!

    To: Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee We, the undersigned, respectfully request the Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee to issue a U.S. stamp honoring The Borinqueneers of the 65th Infantry Regiment, the only all-Hispanic unit in U.S. Army history. The Borinqueneers is the nickname of the 65th Infantry Regiment that served meritoriously in World War I, World War II and the Korean War.   • Change the US Constitution!
    The United States constitution hasn't been changed since the 27th amendment passed in the 1980's. This petition is calling for a Consitutional Convention to take place ASAP at a date and location to be determined later. This convention should be used to update the constitution's amendments to conform with our modern values and encode certain protections already written into law and legal opinion (such as the right to privacy) but not into the constitution itself.

  • Strike at Corporate Greed
    Lets pick a date to boycott walmart for being the number one seller of guns and ammo in the US. They are the sponors of ALEC which wrote the legislation for the stand your ground rule in Florida which led to the Trayvon Martin death. This will show corporate America that the people are feed up with corporate greed which in this case was trying to sell more guns.

  • Demand Berkeley DA Drop Charges Against Peaceful Protesters
    Last November 9, UC Berkeley students, staff and faculty tried to set up a small encampment on campus, in solidarity with the then-burgeoning Occupy movement and in opposition to the ongoing privatization of the UC. Campus police and Alameda County Sheriffs viciously beat the students in order to stop the tents from going up. Now, nearly four months after the fact, 13 people are being charged with misdemeanors for the events of November 9, even though most of them were never arrested.

    Apple can lead the way in corporate patriotism by bringing the dollars made selling products to Americans back to America in the form of jobs. Apple can set the standard for companies that accumulate great wealth from selling products in the US and actually produce some of the products with an American work force.     A constitutional amendment to eliminate or limit money for campaign financing. Average Americans have no power to affect the outcome of political campaigns or to stop negative campaign advertisements when super-rich individuals, corporations, and special interest groups can donate unlimited amounts to PACs.
