I call on Governor Snyder and the Michigan legislature to invest in a jobs program in this state. Michigan continues to have high unemployment. This situation has been tolerated for far too long. Instead of giving tax breaks to people who don't need it. Let's use that money to put more Michigan residents back to work rebuilding our infrastructure, alternative energy projects, etc.

Animals are abused commercially from factory farms to pet breeding businesses. We need strong laws which are actually enforced, against any kind of animal cruelty by commercial industries.

The Keystone XL pipleline is projected to run through 71 historically and/or spiritual archaeological sites important to the cultures of many First Nation people. 22 structures are threatened. Yet the voice of these people has been largely ignored, despite the many cases of cancer- even rare forms of cancer- which have been the result of tar sand mines in Canada. Numerous other ecological concerns have been raised, yet President Obama recently announced his support for the construction. This pipeline is something which threatens the remaining pieces of the heritage of America's original inhabitants, people whose ancestors lived here long before the Founding Fathers. Not only that, it threatens the integrity of our rapidly shrinking natural environment, including the 'spirit bears'- black bears born with white fur- and many other ecological factors.

In March 2012, Teachers and Staff at Fay Galloway decided that Students would no longer be aloud to play Football. Over 300 of the schools Students decided to come together and fight the new rule. That's who we are. Please sign the petition, because the more people we have, even if you are not at our school, gives attention to the problem and pressures our teachers into changing the rule!
