• Reinstate Aaron Shurts
Today I learned that a valuable faculty member is being laid off due to a declining student population, which is increasing the faculty:student ratio. This loss will greatly affect the quality of work produced by all students in the Graphic and Web Design programs at The Art Institute of Seattle. Help send a message to the school administration that we can't lose Aaron Shurts as a faculty member at our school.

  • Stop changing the time...
I am tired of the time change. I see no valuable reason for it, ot at least not enough valuable reasons to continue the madness. Almost everyone I speak to feels the same, and we all wonder why it continues. Many countries have stopped changing and I think it would help all of us if the USA stopped as well. We are in an age where this is not important anymore, and it cause much more grief than it solves. Please work to stop this craziness.

  • Parents Against Bristol K-5 graders Riding Bus with 6-8 graders
Bristol will be sending their K-5th Grade students to school with middle school age children next school year. Our young children will be subject to young teenage pranks and offensive language. We don't want our young innocent children to be subject to potential harm and offensive language. We are calling on the Bristol Board of Education to reconsider protect our children instead of worrying about cost.

  • SUPPORT THE CAFETERIA WORKERS IN HOMER-CENTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS
The Homer-Center School District is threatening to fire the district's school cafeteria workers and to subcontract their work to a private for-profit corporation. This will mean local tax dollars will leave our district and local residents will lose their jobs. Even if they are hired by the company, their salaries and benefits will be slashed. Please contact the Homer-Center School Board and Administration and tell them that our public schools are not for sale to the higest bidder!

  • Alabama Government: Stop Partisan Madness
As a new legislative session begins in Montgomery, Alabama, legislators will consider issues that cannot be addressed satisfactorily in our current climate of partisan madness. You and I bear the lion's share of blame, because we feed the partisan beast that our legislators serve. Let's end our own bitterness and call for a new session without partisan rancor down in Montgomery, so that maybe together we can solve some of these pressing issues.

  • Tell the bullies at Minnewaska Schools this behavior will not be tolerated!
A twelve year old girl in Minnewaska, Minnesota was targeted by school officials for harassment. When she posted on her private Facebook that a school monitor was mean to her, she was given detention. For asking her friends the next day who ratted her out, she was suspended. Finally, when another parent told the school she was talking to another student about sex, she was intimidated by officials and a Sheriff's deputy to surrender her login information. This harassment must stop!
