• Stop Chemtrailing
Every day our government participates in a program that dumps tons of particulant (aluminum and barium) into our atmosphere. No official explanation has been offered. (Perhaps producing artificial clouds which reduce the harmful rays of the sun?) Millions and maybe billions of dollars are being spent on this toxic spraying that pollutes our atmosphere. Levels of aluminum in drinking water have skyrocketed. This needs to stop!

  • Hand counted paper ballots
In order to eliminate the possibility of computer error or manipulation in an event which affects all our lives so dramatically, the safest way to guarantee real, democratic elections is by returning to hand counted paper ballots.

  • Pledge to Vote Yes On 1!
The right to vote and choose our leaders is at the heart of what it means to be an American. If we don’t like the decisions our elected officials are making, we can simply vote them out. Politicians and the corporations who bankroll their campaigns are now trying to make it harder for working Mainers to vote, by taking away our time-honored right to register on Election Day. They know that if we have less of a voice, it will be easier for them to stay in power. That way they can continue to give tax breaks to the wealthy, and keep ignoring the needs of the other 99%. Join thousands of other Mainers who are promising to support same-day registration this Tuesday by signing this Yes on 1 pledge. Use the form above to add your name.

  • Needed- A Congress with Integrity
Americans are paying the high price of a Congress that is more interested in bipartisan infighting and sabotaging efforts of the President to pass proposals. Everyone of us is affected by their actions. Precious time is being wasted while people are suffering.

  • LOWER COLLEGE TUITION/OCCUPY COLLEGES
College tuition in US has gone through the roof in the past 10-15 years. The reason there is so much default in loan repayment is because the tuition was so high to begin with. This is not so in any other country in the world. In fact, in most countries, university education is free or heavily subsidized by the state. It is only in the US that graduates start life buried in loans. We appeal to universities across the US to lower tuition, so that future generations don't get into the same financial straits that our current graduates are in.

  • Raw Milk allowance
Pasteurization kills the natural enzymes in milk making it not only less digestible but robbing us the amount of enzymes our bodies need to break down food, so it is crucial and an undeniable right of the citizens of this country to be allowed to buy Raw Milk, from Free Range-Grass Fed cows who have not received any Hormones or Antibiotics and for that milk to be found in every supermarket.

  • Prevent cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid
There are ongoing efforts in our government to make cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Some of us have paid into these programs all of our working life, on the promise that these funds would be made available to us in the future. The future is here and our representatives are poised to renege on that promise, while keeping the special retirement and medical benefits they voted for themselves. This will affect most Americans, their aging parents and special needs children. Please keep your promise to America and work with the Super Committee, Senators and Representatives to ensure these cuts are not made.

  • Congressional Benefits Conversion
Members of the U.S. Congress receive lifetime benefits that keep them from using the Social Security system as every other U.S. citizen must. I propose the current retirement and medical benefits package that current and former members of the U.S. Congress and U.S. Senators receive be changed so that they must qualify and use Social Security and Medicare as all other U.S. citizens must.

  • Repeal the Repeal of Glass-Steagall
Repeal the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999 (Gramm–Leach–Bliley), Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000, and Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 in their entirety, no questions asked. Repealing the first two would have prevented the current recession.

  • Criminal Prosecution of Executives of Companies Committing Fraud
The vast majority of corporations --- banks, drug companies, hospital corporations, etc. -- settle federal and state fraud lawsuits --- by paying fines and penalties. This punishment has proven to be impotent in deterring these crimes. The massive penalties are passed on to consumers and taxpayers. Unless and until executives are threatened with imprisonment, egregious practices of this nature will continue. To these corporations, fines and legal expenses are just another cost of doing business.
