• Ban Political Advertising from TV
To actually acheive true campain finance reform we must ban political advertising from TV. Without the heavy costs of television advertising the average costs for local, state and national election campagnes will be far less. The influence of non fact based advertising by annonomous groups is not only destructive to the political landscape, it is very expensive to counter. By banning political advertising on TV we minimize corporate interference with what should be only a citizens decision, opening the political landscape up to average citizens, no long making it necessary to have a huge bank roll. This would be true "Campain Finance Reform".

  • Savings Social Security and Medicare
Senior citizens are petrified that Social Security and Medicare will no longer continue to be funded. There's an easy answer - eliminate the ceiling on contributions. If the fear is that businesses will employ fewer people if the ceiling is raised, then leave the cap on employer contributions. Someone making $200,000 or greater won't miss the 7.65 percent, the government won't have any reason to raid the fund, and it will continue indefinitely.

  • Ask Business to Help Save Nature
Nature is in decline -- clean air, drinkable water, rich soil, and countless species of plants and animals are all disappearing before our eyes. Both business and consumers are responsible. Many consumers are trying to mend their ways, but now business must do more. Business is the primary user of natural resources, and the waste it creates has a profound impact on the environment. We must ask the 5,300 companies that belong to the UN Global Compact to begin to measure their greenhouse has emissions and their water use and to publish the results annually in an environmental profit & loss statement. A few companies have already begun this practice, including sporting goods manufacturer Puma. Now we must ask all the members of the UN Global Compact to begin to put an accurate value on the environmental resources that they exploit in order to turn a profit.

  • ethics code for police
New York City policemen and women do not have an ethics code. Professions serving the public need guidelines that the public understands to provide the basis for strong partnership between the public and the police. An ethics code would dignify the job of policeman/woman, provide the basis for mutual respect, and clarify the limits of conduct.

  • Full Campaign Public Financing
To ultimately achieve an election process that is truly fair and balanced, where no interests, corporate or otherwise, hold sway over our elected officials and our laws. This requires full public campaign financing, and eliminating the ability of campaigns to "opt out" or otherwise fund their campaign with "private" donations. Entirely and Completely unbiased tax payer allocated funded, without the ever increasing costs of running a campaign. It is becoming harder and harder for the voices of the have-nots to be heard, precisely because they do not-have . (The first step in this process is for congress to overturn the "Citizens United" Decision from the supreme court.)

  • legalize marijuana
every year at tax time we should be able to pay a grow tax fee per house hold that would permit us to grow our own marijiana so the federal goverment would have let say we pay 250.00 out of our taxes every year to grow our own. Then the money people use to buy it will now be put back the money into the economy. selling is still illigal.
