IMPEACH ILLEGITIMATE PRESIDENT TRUMPWhile we all have priorities that supersede removing Trump from office, like Health Care, Minimum Wage, Climate Change, Income Disparity etc, we cannot pass these programs as long as Trump occupies the White House and the intransigent, sycophantic Republicans control the Senate. Send a message to Speaker Pelosi and sign this petition!157 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Duane Daum

Honolulu City Council: Don't Squeeze Locals Out of HousingMay 8 the Honolulu City Council will take a final vote on Bill 85 to enforce zoning laws and shut down illegal vacation rentals. They will also take a final vote on Bill 89 which has the same enforcement measures but also gives out permits to a set percentage of the houses in each development district to do vacation rentals in a home with a home owner tax exemption. Those who win the lottery and get the permits will get first dibs on renewing every two years, creating a priveleged group who will benefit financially while the property values and quality of life of their neighbors goes down. We need proven enforcement first with Bill 85 before considering additional permits in residential zones. Please comment on the form. WHERE THEY STAND -- CALL THEM OUT! Yes! BILL 85 - enforcement only No! BILL 89 - enforcement and new permits Brandon Elefante, 768-5008, [email protected] (Not clear where he stands - call him!) Let Taiwan participate in the 2019 World Health Assembly (WHA)As stipulated in the Constitution of the World Health Organization, “The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political belief, economic or social condition.” Furthermore, the UN General Assembly Resolution A/RES/70/1 stated, “As we embark on this great collective journey [toward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development], we pledge that no one will be left behind.” While Taiwan was not invited to attend the World Health Assembly either in 2017 or 2018 as an Observer, it has sought to participate in technical meetings, mechanisms, and activities of the WHA and World Health Organization for many years. To this end, Taiwan has won the understanding and support of many nations, which have taken concrete action backing Taiwan. We will continue our effort to ensure the health and wellbeing of the 23 million people of Taiwan as well as of the whole human race. Taiwan’s participation can help WHO to establish a sound global health system. In recent years, Taiwan has successfully transformed its role on the international stage from aid recipient to assistance provider. It has established a comprehensive disease prevention system and organized numerous training workshops aimed at building capacity to prevent diseases in the Asia-Pacific and Southeast Asia, thereby facilitating collective efforts to strengthen global health security. Meanwhile, Taiwan needs the WHO to protect the health of its own people as well as those in the region and the entire world. Through its participation in the WHA and the WHO, it could share its experience with other countries, make timely reporting and acquire information on diseases, and play a constructive role in global health protection. This would create a win-win scenario for Taiwan, the WHO, and the world community. In the future, Taiwan will continue to seek participation in this year’s 72nd WHA as well as WHO technical meetings, mechanisms, and activities. This will help ensure the complete early realization of WHO’s vision of health as a human right. 64 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Catherine Lai

Keep Green Mountain College OpenGreen Mountain College, “FIRST IN SUSTAINABILITY” has a well-deserved reputation as a leader in sustainability: https://www.greenmtn.edu/about/why-gmc/awards-accolades/ The entire campus is heated with a wood chip gasification technology to create steam that warms all the buildings. They can also use this steam to create their own electricity. It has a working farm complete with animals, greenhouse, and solar panels. The beauty of the campus, the student culture, and dedication to all the different aspects of sustainability would be a great loss for the town of Poultney and the region. It would also be a great loss to all the hardworking folks everywhere trying to save our planet. They also have some great masters degrees: Master of Science degree in Resilient & Sustainable Communities (MRSC) Master of Science in Sustainable Food Systems41 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gene Wyatt

Make RI Superdelegates reflect the will of the people! The superdelegate process is undemocratic and allows for party leaders and insiders to undermine the will of the people. In 2016, we saw how the will of RIers was tossed aside as Hillary Clinton won the most votes, even though she overwhelmingly lost the election here in RI.116 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Our Revolution Rhode Island

St. Mary's Support Staff Deserve a Fair ContractThe 68 support staff employees who work in the St. Mary's public schools deserve a living wage and salaries and benefits comparable to similar jobs in surrounding districts. The school board's negotiations team has threatened to terminate them and to hire an out-of-town for-profit corporation. These employees are only about 3 % of the district's budget. These are our friends, neighbors and family members. Tell the school board to stop trying to intimidate these dedicated employees and to settle a fair contract NOW.990 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Lucy Harlow

Medicaid coverage for doula care in South CarolinaSouth Carolina has a higher than recommended cesarean birth rate. Doula care has been shown to effectively reduce the incidence of cesarean birth, preterm birth, and maternal/infant mortality. Let's help make this care available to all women, regardless of their socio-economic status.367 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Jennifer Powell-Taschetti
