• Special Board Meeting Request
The HOA board has failed to provide financial documents in a timely manner and has acted in a threatening manner to deny community members answers to reasonable questions. The HOA board has failed to meet contractual obligations of maintaining the gates. Votes and other issues have been mishandled by both the HOA board and the management company, which is owned and operated by a fellow community member who has an obvious dual relationship and conflict of interest.

  • Protect Rep Ilhan Omar
Niemoller told us how we need to stand up against hate. "When they came for...and when they came for me there was nobody left to speak out" We need to speak out for immigrants and minorities including Ilhan Omar when Trump or others spread hate and incite violence.

  • Keep Hunting on the Weekends East Hampton Town
There is a petition going around seeking the closing of hunting on the week ends in the Town of East Hampton, locations from Montauk through Wainscott. This petition is stating that we want to keep hunting open on the weekends because there are many trails to hike that are not hunting grounds and there are many people who do not have the opportunity to hunt on the weekends because of their 9-5 jobs during the week. This is how some people save money and feed their families for the entire year. This isn't just a sport that will be lost to some people, this is a real life predicament for people who genuinely use hunting to save money, feed their families, and help feed other families.

  • Safe Staffing for Patients at University of Cincinnati Medical Center
Nurses are frontline healthcare workers, who are ethically-bound to advocate for their patients. When nursing units are short staffed, mortality, readmissions, and medical errors increase, which leads to compromised patient care, nurse fatigue, and burnout. Units at UCMC have been, and continue to be short staffed, sometimes to critical levels, although the Medical Center’s staffing plans are budgeted for more nurses. This is especially concerning as UCMC is Greater Cincinnati’s Level 1 Trauma Center. In order to meet patient demand, Registered Nurses (RNs) at UCMC are required to care for more patients and work extra so their units are not left critically under-staffed. RNs at UCMC are standing together, putting patients first and demanding the Medical Center materially incentivize staffing levels above critical, and reward nurses who work extra to ensure safe staffing levels. Stand with the RNs at UCMC, sign the petition, and let the Board of UC Health know the Medical Center should do the right thing, put patient’s first and staff the hospital. About RNA/ONA and UCMC The Registered Nurses Association (RNA), a local affiliate of the Ohio Nurses’ Association, is the union representing the registered nurses of the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. With approximately 1,700 members, RNA/ONA advocates for quality health care and strives to provide the best care in the tri-state area. RNA/ONA is a constituent of the AFT Nurses and Health Professionals and the American Nurses Association. UCMC is a comprehensive, teaching hospital that provides access to health care for all of the Tri-State area, regardless of ability to pay. Cincinnati families depend on UCMC being ready for any health emergency and medical condition. UCMC is the only Level 1 trauma center in the city, only one of seven psychiatric emergency departments in the country, conducts liver, kidney, pancreas and heart transplants, is a comprehensive stroke center and holds burn, heart failure, perinatal and baby friendly certifications.

  • Midwestern State University- Masters of Social Work
Many students, both local and not, are forced to find another university in a separate city to enroll for a Masters of Social Work program. The majority of our student population consist of non-traditional college students and do not have the luxury of moving to or finding a separate school for their Masters Degree.

  • Help Rebuild Notre Dame - A gift from America
France gifted the State of Liberty to the US in 1886 as a symbol of our alliance in the fight for liberty. How wonderful would a reciprocal gift be from America to show its heart and support for others around the world. The lost of Notre Dame is a loss for Christians and non-Christians alike. It is part of world history and civilization. Americans should always strive to be more than being about ourselves - especially outside our borders.

  • Stop Howard Schultz from re-electing Trump; boycott Starbucks!
Howard Schultz hasn't yet made an irrevocable decision to run--NOW is the time to pressure him to use his billions for good, NOT to help re-elect Donald Trump. MoveOn has the resources to lead this campaign, and it's critically important that it do so.

  • Prisons: Overcrowding
My older brother went to jail for some months and when he came home, he told us of his experience in there. He talked the most about how crowded it was. It was so crowded that there would be three, even four people to a cell when there were only two beds. He also told me about how he had gotten into a fight/ jumped because he was in a cell with people who disliked him. I want to prevent people from turning to violence due to overcrowding.
