We, the qualified electors who reside in the City of Pittsburgh request the Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh to conduct a public hearing and post agenda to ensure that the role of the EORC is being adhered to. The purpose of the meeting would be to invite MWDBE certified contractors where they can present to the EORC their experiences in working with the City and Developers around MWDBE opportunities. At the meeting they can share the results of their bidding opportunities as being under contract as a MWDBE certified contractor. If not under contract, did they hear back from the General Contractor and/or Developer with the reasons for not being selected? When contracts and/or subcontractors win the bid, are they getting contracts equal to what is being reported by the City MWDBE Office?

Eric Blankenstein was put in charge of supervision, enforcement and fair lending at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Enbridge, a major pipeline company, wants to build a new tar sands pipeline in Minnesota. This 300 mile pipeline would put our water, climate, and communities at risk. Governor Dayton has a key role to play in protecting Minnesota from the impacts of yet another tar sands pipeline. Tell him to stop Line 3! We don’t need more pipelines, and we can’t build more if we are serious about tackling climate change. We need more renewable energy solutions that will safeguard the planet now and for future generations.

When people hear the name Disney, an image immediately pops into the brain. It is of a corporation that produces children's movies and owns and runs Disneyland and Disney World. Disney promotes diversity, love, kindness, and other good morals and ethics. Hope Hicks stood by President Trump while he promoted hatred, bigotry, and lies. She could have chosen to resign rather than promote these ideas but she did not. She is just as guilty as he is. Her employment will tarnish Disney's image. What will children learn from this?
