Kemp should not be allowed to oversee the election board while he is running for governor's office. Kemp refused help to protect the voting machines in Georgia that were hacked by Russia. Kemp purged over 1 million voters so it could not be investigated. Kemp is holding 53,000 voter applications for exact match without notifying applicants. Kemp is blatantly suppressing the vote in his role as Secretary of State. If Kemp wants the appearance of a fair Election, he must be forced to resign or withdraw from the governor's race.

The suburban area of Valparaiso and lakeside residents of Porter County will be negatively affected by the annexation and rezoning of Kilmer Property located at 309 Spectacle Drive. The Kilmer’s are seeking annexation (Petition Number A18-001 and RZ18-001) for the purpose of using Valparaiso utilities and services in addition to General Residential rezoning. The General Residential zoning would allow high density development with a building plan of 40 single-family residential lots with a minimum lot size of 6,000 sq. ft. This development would affect the character of our neighborhoods and the health of our lakes. The property is located across the road from Rogers Lakewood Park which borders Loomis and Spectacle Lake with overflow into Flint Lake. The property is the last, large acre old-growth forest located South of Loomis Lake and is critical for sustaining complex ecosystems and wildlife habitats. Trees play an important role in regulating water flow, trapping sedimentation, air quality purification and mitigation of climate change. Deforestation and land development will increase erosion and water draining issues affecting many of the nearby residents including those surrounding our lake systems. Spectacle Drive is an old, undulating, narrow county road that is distressed and in need of reconstruction. The addition of 40+ lots could potentially increase traffic on Spectacle by 380 vehicles per day placing travelers in harm’s way. The request to annex this property to the city and change the future zoning land requirements is not compatible with the surrounding properties or to the neighborhood. An annexation of the Kilmer’s property into the City would ruin the character of our quiet neighborhoods.

California is not only the most populated state in the US, but is also the 5th largest economy in the entire world. There is no reason we, as Californians, should continue to be deprived of our right to have each of our votes count as one vote— equal in every way to anyone else’s in the nation. We are not asking for our votes to be worth more, but we will not continue to tolerate being deprived of our full voting rights. We want California lawmakers to come up with a plan (divestment, taxes, incentives, tariffs) to exert our influence as a global population and economic power house to demand that in upcoming elections our voices will be heard.

It is the University of Oregon's responsibility to follow its Climate Action Plan to reduce carbon emissions, NOT to endorse what would be the largest greenhouse gas emitter in the state. The pipeline does more than just endanger our right to a stable climate, it also jeopardizes the safety and drinking water of marginalized communities across Oregon. The construction of this pipeline and export center would be a travesty. UO must follow its climate commitments and reject this irresponsible project by withdrawing from the Portland Business Alliance and publicly denouncing the fracked gas pipeline. I am starting this petition because it is not fair that a parent has to pay private school prices ($5,000) to give their child a "public" school education curriculum at home. Missouri needs to provide the option to have a tuition-free online k12.

The community is exhausted at the work involved in keeping on top of The Capital Improvement Projects Dept. The ball has admittedly been dropped on pushing this forward by CIP. We need our Commissioner to support our neighborhood and protect us from all the dangerous, cut-though traffic.

Unless you act now, you and your family will be subjected to countless sleepless nights due to construction noise on Torrey Pines even if you live 2-3 blocks away from the main road. Councilmember Barbara Bry and the La Jolla Community Planning Association (LJCPA) at the behest of the La Jolla Village Merchants Association (LJVMA) have recently endorsed night time construction on Torrey Pines giving the city the green light to do all current and future road work at night. From now until the end of the year the City plans on working on the Torrey Pines Slope Stabilization Project between 10 PM and 5 AM. The soil-nail wall installation between Little and Roseland alone requires loud drilling all night, every work night for at least 30 days. In a few weeks the Water Project 1011 will switch to night work between Paseo Dorado and Calle de la Plata. On Fri/Sat Oct 26/27 they plan on all night work including jackhammering at Hillside and Torrey Pines to fix the gutters.
