  • Better lunches for Brooklyn students.
This petition is to get school lunches in Brooklyn, New York public schools to change. There have been many times where I have not eaten school lunch due to how horrible it is and I don’t have the energy to get through the day. With tastier lunches, students can have the energy to get through a full day.

  • Get Rid of Plastic Pollution
To decrease the amount of plastic that ends up in landfills and oceans. At least 100 million marine mammals die due to plastic pollution in a year and effects at least 700 marine species. The environment should be one of our top priorities due to all of the industry that is happening in our modern day world.

  • Revoke Bail/House Arrest for Officer Michael Rosfeld
This case involves the Police murder of an unarmed Black Victim. Normal Defendants accused of criminal homicide are NEVER given bail nor house arrest. The Allegheny County Judicial system has shown its prejudice by granting bond and house arrest to a Police Officer accused of murdering an unarmed African American male.

  • Save Calistoga's Scenic Entry Corridor: Part Two
The "Loop" gas station/ convenience store is re-applying with Calistoga to take over the corner of Petrified Forest and Foothill, across the street from the Arco station that is already problematic to people who live in this neighborhood. Our primary concerns are still the same: (1) "Traffic Nightmare." Traffic would increase by an estimated 1,228 cars per day. Anyone who lives in Calistoga knows how backed up this four-way stop gets daily; this increase would greatly worsen that situation. (2) "Commuter Corridor" vs "Scenic Entry to Calistoga." The Loop station would emphasize Calistoga as a quick stopping place for commuters between Lake County and Santa Rosa/ Napa. For visitors and residents, the entry to our historic town would be formulaic and utilitarian, with no respect for the surrounding countryside. (3) "Environmental Impact." Cyrus Creek is an important tributary to the Napa River; runoff from such a huge project with spilled gas and car wash chemicals would be unavoidable. (4) "Quality of Life Impact." The Arco station at that corner already draws a negative influence, including people sleeping in vehicles, drinking/ doing drugs in the parking lot, and dumping trash into Cyrus Creek. A larger gas station would draw a transient crowd looking for a place to sleep overnight in their cars and do drug deals. At the last Commission meeting, the owners of the Loop said they would provide a "400 pound security robot" to monitor the parking lot; the very fact that they need to provide such a thing is a sign that they know there will be problems. Help us slow down the increasingly frantic pace of development in our small town and reconsider what we want our entrances to convey! Sign our petition to let the Planning Commission know that neighbors object, then show up for the meetings (to be announced via email as that information becomes available.) Please pass this petition on to your friends and neighbors.

  • March for Voter Justice
After the stunning success of Moveon in organizing the June 30th march for refugee children, we should broaden the non-partisan action with a march on August 30th to include civic justice in general: ending vote suppression, anti-majority vote rigging. and gerrymandering, For coming elections to be fair, registration and voting must be unfettered, votes must be counted correctly, and and allocation of representation must in line with votes. This is necessary to control our government to get justice for all.

  • Net Neutrality Forever
I am a small business owner who employees several people & I rely heavily on people finding me easily on the internet for my home building, remodeling & repair business. It should not be up to mega internet service providers, the FCC or anyone else to decide who can find my fully licensed, bonded, insured & incorporated business. It should also not be their choice what information I or anyone else can view as we seek to educate and enlighten ourselves while we strive to improve our lives AS WE SEE FIT!

  • Investigation of the new york family court system
in light of the imigration situation of children being yanked from there family's . we complain about these children being pulled away from there families. But in new york state we have been doing that to our own families for years. Hundreds of families have been removed from there homes and adopted out. When all the families were guilty of is being poor or under equipped. Instead of letting rich famikies looking for tax breaks or wealthy familys wanting cute poor kids to adopt we should be training these families into finding another option other then drawing out a corrupt family court process that forces perents to lose there children. I know my children adopted by the foster parents. I WANT MY CHILDREN BACK END OF STORY NO IF'S AND'S OR BUT'S. HELP ME AND EVERY OTHER PARENT GET THERE KIDS BACK.
