GAS STRIKEThis is the best way to convey and circulate this concept. I protested Vietnam Nam War & Civil Rights in the 60-70’s gas in the 80’s. The gas strike in CA worked much faster. It is a protest that can have an immediate effect that can’t be denied. Please consider helping promote this blatant, consequent protest. Let’s hit the only place they feel....the pocketbook!2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jacqueline

PA Proclamation Addressing Stigma & Violence Against Sex WorkersEPGN article by Tim Cwiek: Pennsylvania resident Melanie Dante wants state lawmakers to enact an anti-violence resolution on behalf of sex workers. Dante, now 48, is an advocate for LGBT rights and the rights of sex workers. She said several local trans women who were murdered recently were perceived to be sex workers. “I care very deeply about that,” she told PGN. In an effort to lessen the violence, she’s pushing for state lawmakers to pass an anti-violence resolution regarding sex workers in Pennsylvania. “Each individual’s human rights are sacred, including the human rights of those of us who have lived the sex trade,” Dante told PGN. She said the term “sex work” encompasses various forms of erotic activity. “Sex work is a broad category that includes prostitution, escorting, sugar babes, strippers, lap dancers, cam girls, dominants and submissives, massage therapists, tantric practitioners and porn models,” Dante explained. As an advocate for sex workers, she’s aware of far too many acts of violence against members of that community. And she speaks from personal experience. Dante wants state lawmakers to pass a resolution declaring Dec. 17 as International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers in Pennsylvania. For the past 14 years, people around the world have observed Dec. 17 as a day to honor the lives of sex workers lost to murder and suicide. “My goal is to be sure no sex worker or person exploring their sexual and gender identity is forgotten, after falling victim to a violent crime leading to their death,” Dante said. Since 2012, Dec. 17 memorial events have been held in Philadelphia, and Dante hopes the local event will grow and become more unified. Dante said she realizes a resolution won’t end all of the problems faced by sex workers in Pennsylvania, but that it’s an important first step. Brian Sims’ office issued this statement: “Violence in any form inflicted upon any person is reprehensible.” Dante represents the voice the PA Workers Survivors Clearinghouse, SWOP Behind Bars / SWOP USA in PA, and ESPU_Philly, saying of the conservative political environment she is reaching out to: “We all want the same outcome, which is to end the violence.”222 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Melanie (Goodman) Dante

Tell American Airlines to Reinstate Lita ThompsonFresno County Correctional Officer Malama Scanlan sustained gunshot wounds to the head and neck in a shooting at California's Fresno County jail on September 3, 2016. He is currently in a Los Angeles treatment facility. Lita Thompson was fired from American Airlines for giving her "Buddy Pass" to Officer Scanlan's wife so she could travel to the Los Angeles treatment facility to aid and care for her husband. American Airlines has a policy which prohibits employees from giving their buddy passes to other employees who are on leave. Officer Scanlan's wife, Tepa Scanlan, is an American Airlines employee who is currently on medical leave. Lita was not aware of the aforementioned policy when she gave her buddy pass to Tepa Scanlan. In light of these extenuating circumstances, we are requesting that Lita Thompson's employment with American Airlines be reinstated.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Larone Koonce

National Boycott & General Strike Campaign to Save DemocracyOur democracy is in taters and we are on the verge of becoming a fascist oligarchy. Our only hope of stopping this historic disaster is to put ourselves on the line in collective action against the wealthy powers stealing our right to good and healthy lives. If we join together to stop giving them our money and deny them our labor we stop giving them their power over us. Obviously this petition is just one starting point to help bring us together in action.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Randy Hershey

General Mattis: Say NO to Imprisoning Immigrants on Military BasesIn late June, press reports indicated that Gen. James Mattis was asked by the Administration to assist with the "zero tolerance" immigration policy by building austere, temporary tent camps on military bases to incarcerate migrants detained at our southern border. Gen. Mattis indicated his permission, although this incarceration plan is jurisdictionally and morally very problematic. And clearly, we the people need much more information about this. It is not the Military's job to imprison immigrants for any reason or length of time. Migrants from the southern border are overwhelmingly fleeing violence in their home countries. They are not enemies of the U.S. Rather, many of them have legally requested Asylum but are being criminalized nonetheless. Parts of the Zero Tolerance policy are being reversed in court challenges, such as the separation of children from their parents, and the indefinite detention of children & families. Moreover, both houses of Congress have created a version of the Families Belong Together Act, which explicitly states that they do not favor indefinite detention of these migrant families. Reports indicate that now, the Administration has reverted to an Obama-era policy which let families live in the U.S., wearing ankle tracking bracelets, as they await adjudication of their cases. It is not clear that more detention facilities are even necessary. Transparency has been abominable as even members of Congress are denied access to many detention centers. There are reports of inhumane conditions which some congressmembers have actually observed, and more of which have been kept hidden from the legislature and the public. This is a national emergency, and I have created this petition because the zero tolerance policy has proven to be inhumane and illegal, at least in some respects. For the armed forces to get involved would hurt the Military's reputation both at home and abroad and would certainly negatively affect morale and recruitment of new volunteers. I hope you'll sign my petition to General Mattis, urging that he do the right thing by halting any activity in furtherance of the request to build tent camps and incarcerate migrants in them on military bases. In halting this action, he would be acting for the Military, the migrants who are neither foreign nor domestic enemies of the United States, and for citizens. It's the right thing for him to do.734 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Carole Marcacci

Bring Back Marching OnMarching On was a concert showcase put on by the school district for our community, comprised of each school's choir, band, and color guard programs. This event not only enriched our children's educational experience, but also gave them an outlet of expression, along with the chance to take pride in their hard work through performing. Marching On gave students of all grades a sense of community, taught us to take pride in our hard work, and gave us the chance to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Denise Betegh

President Trump must release his tax returnsWe the people have a right to know if any collusion with Russia is going on, and by examining the tax returns, we might see Russian connections that in turn made him compromised.
