We believe the proposed housing site, Map ID #19, consisting of 6 lots: 682 Clark Ave, 672 Clark Ave, 672 Clark Ave, 2 x Union Street and 556 Union Street if developed, will result in a substantial increase in traffic in our small neighborhoods and will create a health and safety issue. The proposed development (Map ID #19) is buried in our small neighborhood with access only via our rural, narrow streets which already act in a single lane capacity given the street widths combined with the residential street parking. This is true for ALL access points: Clark Ave, La Mirada Ave, Del Rio Ave, Del Riego Ave, and Union St. Additionally, a housing development is now in construction on Clark with no infrastructure or street development to support the increase in traffic. As such, we the undersigned, given the additional hazards the proposed development will present, and in order to protect our children, maintain the safety of our neighborhood and maintain the quality of life in Leucadia, request the City of Encinitas to remove the proposed at Map ID #19 from the housing plan.

The Ohio House Bill 658 introduced by Republican representatives Tom Brinkman and Paul Zeltwanger targets an incredibly vulnerable group. According to surveys conducted in recent years, as much as 48% of transgender participants attempted suicide. Their trust needs to be earned. They are being put into potentially dangerous situations if they are outed to a family who is unsupportive, and may face homelessness or abuse. Furthermore, they deserve to tell people on their own and under the right circumstances. Do not take away this basic right. Do not trivialize their experiences by inferring that they are wrong or do not know. We need to protect these students and provide them an environment in which they feel safe, not further isolate them. To quote TransEquality: "A national survey by GLSEN has found that 75% of transgender youth feel unsafe at school, and those who are able to persevere had significantly lower GPAs, were more likely to miss school out of concern for their safety, and were less likely to plan on continuing their education ."(https://transequality.org/issues/youth-students) Our children deserve better than this. They are entitled to the same education and safety that we intend to provide to our cisgender students. Do not take that away from us.

I recently boarded my animals in a facility in Gahanna, Ohio over the 4th of July weekend while I was in Las Vegas on my honeymoon. My animals were sick while I was gone and the facility failed to contact me to make me aware of the situation. They clearly state that the facility is required to contact the pets owners upon showing any signs of distress or illness. I was charged double boarding charges when my animals boarded in the same kennel. They said those charges are for the care of the animals. They also charged me $20 per dog due to it being a holiday weekend and them paying for extra help. When I arrived to pick them up they were covered in feces and urine. The receptionist even had gloves on when she brought them to us, meaning she had to have known they were disgusting. When I told them the dogs were covered in feces and urine they said they were gonna go wipe them off. They brought them back still with feces on them. They took them back a second time per my request and didn't even offer to bathe them. An hour after I got them home, I noticed they had really bad sneezing, coughing, fevers, lethargy, and the runs; not to mention I told the receptionist that one of my animals had green eye funk and she wiped it and ignored it. Clearly, that meant infection. Now its been 2 days and they have full blown kennel cough or upper respiratory infections. Why did they let them come home this sick? There are other reviews on YELP stating a man nearly lost his dog due to this facility administering the same shot to his animal 4 times because they couldn't keep the medical records straight. So many people say this place is more worried about how fat their pockets are vs sincere animal care. This place doesn't deserve to be open.

For years, several people, including myself, have made requests to Facebook to be able to disable all Messenger calls from Facebook on our phones and be able to turn off all voice and video calls completely. Many people feel that their privacy is violated and are irked by being woken up at 3 or 4 in the morning by strangers calling them on their phones using Facebook Messenger. Despite all of the complaints I saw on a thread a few years ago, Facebook not only did nothing to solve the issue, they actually closed the thread so additional comments could no longer be added to this thread. This is seriously virtually harassing people since many have reported being woken up by strangers calling them at 3 or 4 am on Facebook Messenger and several others have also commented on not even being able to do a simple task on their phone without being interrupted by yet another Messenger call from some stranger on Facebook. There isn't even an option to log out of this application, and despite setting your status to inactive and muting all notifications on this app, it still makes an annoying noise when someone who tried to video-call you on your phone hangs up. This violates our privacy. If a telemarketer knocks on our door trying to sell a product, we've always had the option to be able to shut the door and walk away without being bothered by a telemarketer. And if they did try to bother us again and again by knocking on our door at 3 or 4 am, we could call the police and get them arrested. This is not the case with Facebook Messenger, and I think we should still have the right to be able to walk away and not be bothered by intruders, whether it's in person or virtually. Therefore I think we should get our voices heard, so we don't have to hear unwanted voice calls (especially at 3 am) due to disgracebook violating people's privacy and ignoring several complaints to fix this issue. And I am forming this petition in the hopes that there is still decency remaining in what we call America. Since President Trump has been in office, I have watched the decline of the country I love. Allow me a moment to give you a brief overview of my family ties to our nation. My ancestors were among the first pilgrims to this land. My family, through my paternal grandmother, share family lineage with President GeorgeWashington. I am a direct descendent of the first Rear Admiral of the U.S. Navy. And now we have the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh as SCOTUS. This same Brett Kavanaugh, has written he believes the President should be above the law. The bill allows no exclusion for the type of crime committed. No exclusion for prior criminal history an diversion instead of prosecution that would be available for those with almost every kind of mental health diagnosis. This means paraphilia, often diagnosed as the mental health issue for serial rapists and depression, often associated with mass school shooting murders are not excluded." Summer Stephan went on to call AB 1810 a "Dangerous social experiment" and said that there are few serious felony offenses where the mental health of the defendant is not called into question.
