Gun Control. Today. There have been 18 school shootings since the start of 2018. Too many students and staff have been victimized due to the lack of preparation and prevention. Trump asks what he can do. He can take the guns out of the hands of the shooter. Stop the violence.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Teresa Izzo

Design-Build for the BQEShould the New York State Legislature fail to pass this legislation this spring, the diversion of trucks onto local streets will have catastrophic impacts, imperiling the health and safety of Brooklyn residents, damaging the region’s economy, and costing taxpayers $113 million more to complete the project. Design-Build is the only means to forestall this situation. It is an approach being used on major public and private projects nationwide to save time and money. Moreover, eight New York State agencies are already using Design-Build, but New York State has to-date refused to allow the City to use this time and cost-saving project delivery approach. By signing the petition, you will send a message to the State legislature and the Governor that Design-Build authority needs to be enacted without further delay.1,034 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Peter Bray

Congresswoman Stefanik: Ban Assault Weapons Now!We represent Indivisible Lowville, a local grassroots group dedicated to progressive values. However, the undersigned include a variety of your constituents and not all of them belong to Indivisible. We, collectively, want common sense gun control that does not infringe on sport or hunting but takes away access to all military style weaponry. Many of us have school-aged children and it is clear that our schools are no longer a safe place for them to be. Please take action, Ms. Stefanik.63 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lee Vance

school safetyMy name is Alexandra Rodriguez, I attend Felix Varela Senior high in Miami- Dade county and I am living in fear every day I attend school. Parents send their kids to school thinking their children will return home safely. Instead of spending money on unnecessary objects we should be spending money on more security guards, metal detectors, and more police men in every school. I believe many parents and citizens would like to donate money if it's to keep children safe.3,667 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Alexandra Rodriguez

Stop the NRA from buying our lawmakers. It is about time that we pull the rug out from under the NRA and other pro-gun groups, and pass gun laws that protect our society and our children. Thoughts and prayers are not cutting it anymore! Like all the 80% of Americans who are in favor of stricter gun control laws, I am sick over the latest shooting, and totally done with the "thoughts and prayers" messages from do-nothing legislators! I know many organizations are working hard to prevent the next shooting, but without action by Congress and states to actually--gasp!--regulate and reduce access to these weapons, nothing will change. The NRA has unprecedented access to our lawmakers, and it constantly holds their feet to the fire to prevent passage of any reasonable gun laws. I would like to see petitions signed by all those 80% of us that say "I pledge not to vote for any lawmaker at any level of government who takes a single penny from the NRA or other pro-gun lobby groups." If Move-On can promote such a petition and also publish the names of the lawmakers that do and don't take these contributions, perhaps they will finally vote the way we want them to!31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kathleen Braico MD

The sale of all Automatic Weapons need to be placed on a National and Statewide Moratorium until ...There have been repeated incidents of shootings involving automated weapons. In some states like Florida, it is not only legal to buy and possess these weapons--but that also includes minors. It is time for both State and Federal Governments to put an immediate halt to all sales of automated weapons until a thorough and complete set of rules and regulations is established. These rules should include the banning of sale and ownership of any automated weapon - unless in connection with an appropriate security position or in the armed forces. The sale and ownership in any case of a minor should be prohibited. There should be a thorough system of vetting made mandatory for all points of gun sales. Any incidents of violence - or potential threat to violence - should be reported so that if found to be true, those who are considered either mentally unbalanced or a potential threat should be prohibited from the ownership of any gun - and those who are in contact with such individuals either at home or professionally and are licensed to carry any weapons should not be allowed to have any such weapons available in any form of access.64 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michael Steiner

Bring Municipal Internet to ConnecticutNet Neutrality is under threat by corporate ISPs who have historically received huge tax breaks for services which they ended up not providing. It's time to take control of the 21st century's most valuable utility and bring high speeds at reasonable prices to CT residents.44 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Max Landau

Ban Assault RiflesAmerica is the only country that allows the killing of innocent citizens by assault rifles. The time is now or never. We allowed 6-year-olds to be killed and did nothing. Lawmakers look out for their own pockets even when their own are attacked. "Time's Up"37 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mary Hooks

Arm Our TeachersTo have teachers armed in the classroom to protect against active shooters. Also, have students who have been expelled evaluated mentally and intensely before being allowed back on campus. This will ensure the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff.17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Brian Martin
