This is something I feel very strongly about and have worked on to resolve. Recent computing technologies allow for corrections of mathematical flaws in the calculation of interest which can be applied . These are solutions which can protect lender funds, family's dignity and maintain the standards and ideals of what the American quality of life should be.

We ask our district to review bullying policies, including the current practice of removing the victim from school, rather than the perpetrator. Bullies are given multiple chances to change their behavior, which contradicts the “zero tolerance” policy supposedly in effect. Our children are victimized a second time when they are yanked from their classes, forced to make all new friends at a new school. Because of social media, moving across town to a new school does not protect them, as bullies launch online campaigns aimed at further victimizing the intended target. There are laws intended to protect people from discrimination based on their gender or sexual orientation. It should not take a physical attack to spark change in our schools.

Across this country there have been laws passed in cities and legislatures outlawing aggressive panhandling and introducing urban camping laws. We shouldn't be throwing people in jail because they have no home or are poor. We should help them get off the streets not making it worse for them.

Roy Moore should not be allowed to be a senator if it is indeed true that he dated girls under 18 when he was 32. There is an allegation of him pursuing a 14 year old girl and evidence would suggest that is indeed pedophilia. Furthermore, Roy Moore has publicly lied to the people of Alabama regarding this behavior.

Recently a woman named Kimberly Jones posted a video of her son Keaton sharing a beautiful message about bullying. In the heartbreaking video, he details traumatizing treatment from school bullies and follows with a message of compassion and tolerance. Everyone who watched the video was moved and it quickly went viral. Among those who saw the video were stars like Rihanna, Dana White, Chris Evans, and MMA Artist Joe Schilling, who all reached out with donations, words of encouragement and meet and greet offers among other things. Sounds like a happy ending to a super sad tale, but things got strange when Joe Schilling got in touch with Kimberly Jones, who turned down an offer to fly the family to LA to meet Schilling and asked instead that he share their gofundme page, stating that she needed the money for the holidays. (58k is the current total) If you are like me, the idea of exploiting your sobbing child for money makes you sick. I cannot fathom what would make someone do that.. My heart hurts for Keaton because I know the internet is a terrible place full of bullies just like the ones he goes to school with (and the one who raised him) and I know that his mother's actions will hurt him worse than anything they could ever do. I am sad for this boy because of stories I am hearing about the prejudice in his home, and the things he is being taught to say and do by his parents and by some of the kids at his school. But one thing about this story is still good. $58,000 were raised for this boy, he seems to have a giant heart, and he was able to feel an outpouring of support and know how special and loved he is. What I am proposing today is that we protect Keaton from his mother's exploitation and ensure that he learns to be a great person and kind and successful member of society. I believe if we all pull together, we can get gofundme to list Keaton Jones as the sole beneficiary of the donated funds and make them available to him on his 18th birthday (not sure how the site works but I'm sure if they pay out via check they can post-date it)--that way he can pursue a college education, get a career, and make a true difference in the world, without being stuck in the mindset of those who find it appropriate to bully or manipulate others. Please join me in fighting for his future, a future without ignorance, hate or ill intent.

As North Reading grows in population, so has the traffic. We need traffic lights and pedestrian walkways in three main intersections: 1. North Street at Haverhill 2. Central Street at Park Street 3. Every day, on the days Huckabee Sanders represents the White House for a press briefing she loses her temper and refuses to answer simple questions. When she does answer, she offers her own right wing and fundamentalist opinions. She is paid to answer questions for the press, but instead uses her position to proselytize and sermonize. The American public is a diverse population and should not be force fed a conservative religious agenda.

I personally believe legalizing marijuana has been long overdue. It is only beneficial to this Country as a whole. It includes no health risk factors, it will boost our economy, it is something that needs to be done.

Congress will vote on a continuing resolution to fund the government on or by December 22nd. Many Democrats have said that they won't vote for a continuing resolution unless it includes a Clean Dream Act, e.g. no wall funding and no more funding to militarize the border. Rep. Peterson, a Democrat, says he supports DREAMers but has been ambivalent about what he means by that. This petition is intended to help him clarify his thinking. There are many DREAMers in District 7 and we all need Rep. Peterson to provide them with some hope.

Members of Congress use taxpayer money to settle (and cover up) sexual harassment claims. I'm personally affected both as a taxpayer and as someone who deserves a Congress free from sexual harassers.

Lack of maintenance and improvement of the public paths in Kensington is a safety issue, putting the residents of Kensington at risk. The paths are important escape routes in case of earthquake or wildfire and they can provide access to firefighters and first responders in case of an emergency. Community acquisition and ownership is an important next step towards maintaining and improving our paths for our own safety and enjoyment.
