Paul Manafort, President Trump's ex-campaign chair, was just indicted in Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation into Russian election meddling. We need to make sure the President can't fire Mueller in retaliation -- which he's already considered doing. Congress must take action IMMEDIATELY to ensure Trump can't interfere in Mueller's investigation. Investigations into criminal enterprises take time -- these are the first, but probably not the last criminal charges filed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia's attempts to interfere in our elections, and whether Trump or his associates obstructed justice to cover it up. We must be prepared for anything. Trump has already considered firing Mueller -- which would trigger a constitutional crisis like we haven't seen since Watergate. The indictment of his former campaign chair is sure to trigger another backlash from Trump. Congress must put country over party and act now to protect Mueller's independence, and prevent Trump from firing him. It must send a signal that any interference in the investigation crosses a red line. Right now, senators and representatives are considering bipartisan legislation that would limit President Trump's ability to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller or otherwise interfere with his investigation: the Special Counsel Integrity Act and the Special Counsel Independence Protection Act. We *must* use this moment to make Congress acts and passes these bills into law. Tell your members of Congress to add their names as co-sponsors of the bipartisan legislation to protect Mueller.

The Fort Worth Young Men's Leadership Academy (YMLA) has established an exceptional record of high academic performance. These young men continue to make the grade. Also, YMLA is a 5A school with a successful athletic program. Yet, the FWISD Long Range Master Facilities Plan requires them to share the athletic facility belonging to another school. This would leave YMLA scholars with less than what they currently have, which is very little. YMLA wants to maintain its distinct identity as well. Funds for a long overdue, new school have been allocated in the 2017 Penny Swap/Bond Proposal. Please sign our petition if you agree that the scholars of YMLA deserve, and should be built, a full and complete school or renovate its current campus to include adequate facilities to support a full athletic program in addition to classrooms, labs, music and art departments.

Every student at Mohonasen has complained about school lunches or not being able to leave during a study hall. With an open campus, we would be able to go to a local chain of fast food or even go home until we had our next class.

The right to have a great life should be everyone's pleasure.

Congress must fully investigate and hold public hearings on the massive no-bid contract awarded to the two-employee Montana company Whitefish Energy to rebuild the Puerto Rican power grid devastated by Hurricane Maria. Whitefish Energy is located in Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's hometown. The contract also contains troubling provisions that prevent claims against Whitefish for delays AND prevents government entities from "the right to audit or review the cost and profit elements" of the contract. We deserve the answers to why this massive contract was awarded to this tiny company with these strange and troubling clauses.

I am horrified by what this country is doing to these immigrants under the excuse of safety from terrorism. As statesd by Wikipedia "Several human rights organizations, including Amnesty International and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and a series of reports made by the New York Times have cited concerns with ICE’s management of these detention centers. Reports refer to instances of human rights abuse and inadequate or unprofessional medical care in these detention facilities. Such reports have also publicized the death of several immigrants in detention and have accused ICE of covering up this information. ICE, in response, has released a list of 166 people who died under ICE detention between 2003-2016. "

Jordi Cruixart and Jordi Sanchez were protesting after voting for independence on Oct. 1, 2017. The Madrid police took Jordi Cruixart and Jordi Sanchez as prisoners for no other reason than a peaceful demonstration. These two men deserve to be free from unimaginably harsh prison conditions, to return to their families and to their jobs. Peacefully protesting for independence was given an unfair charge by the police who targeted Jordi Cruixart and Jordi Sanchez.
