Numerous credible analyses make it appear all but certain that the GOP victory in the recent presidential election was the result of voter suppression and/or fraudulent vote counts. The U.S. State Department relies on exit polling all over the world to evaluate the validity of elections, and we should adhere to the same standard. We must encourage Democrats in Congress to prevent the fraud-based theft of several states' electoral votes in the recent presidential election. Allowing Trump to accede to the presidency on the basis of fraud is akin to acceptance of what amounts to a coup d'etat, which is the use of legitimizing institutions to seize power illegally. But there are steps that President Obama can take right now to impede their policies. And we need to make sure he does. The idea of Muslim registry isn't new--and Trump doesn't even have to create the program from scratch. The Bush-era structure called National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS) already exists and can be reactivated again if President Obama does not act immediately to end it once and for all. We heard from many family members whose male relatives went to register and were then detained for days—some never returned home. NSEERS registered over 83,000 Muslim immigrant men and put over 13,000 into deportation proceedings. Out of all the registrations and deportations, zero men were ever connected to any violent activity.[2] The program was a failure and will continue to be a failure if it is implemented again. We fear this program will not only be implemented again, but be used to target even larger segments of Muslim communities in the United States. Just because the future program may not mention Muslims specifically, just as NSEERS did not, does not mean that Muslim communities are not at risk. We will not stand for it. We will continue to fight against it as we have already done. It is your duty as President of the United States to protect your people. You must protect the safety of Native Americans and their supporters who have gathered peacefully to oppose the Dakota Access Pipeline. We stand up for the sovereign rights of Indigenous people to land. The Dakota Access Pipeline threatens to damage land held sacred to the Standing Rock Sioux and other Indigenous nations. We stand against violence and repression. Indigenous people have been facing cruel treatment from the United States Government and its leaders for centuries. It hasn’t stopped. The National guard, North Dakota state troopers, and private security firms have meted out harsh treatment on protesters of the pipeline utilizing attack dogs, rubber bullets, pepper spray, and strip searches in their attempt to break the people’s opposition. Such treatment has been labeled as ‘inhuman and degrading’ by a report issued by the United Nations. We demand protection of our environment on which we rely on for life. The DAPL symbolizes our tendency to value crude corporate greed over environmental sustainability. Damage to the environment is felt globally. Water shortages, extreme weather, and temperature rises are problems we are all currently facing, and the devastation will continue to increase. The report, "Fencing out Opportunity," reflects a gross lack of understanding about the critical role of sign language interpreters and their licensure. The licensure is a critical component to protecting Wisconsin citizens who are deaf, hard of hearing and deaf-blind. The licensure ensures access so that communication and understanding can occur and is a matter of health and safety.

This investigation must go mainstream and commence immediately, as the nation only has until December 19th before the Electoral College certifies the election. If Mr. Trump did not win fairly because of unethical/undemocratic purging of more than a million predominantly minority citizens by GOP sponsored "Crosscheck" program, he should not be the President-Elect. Mr. Palast maintains that the number of purged voters far exceeds the marginal victory reported for key states (e.g., MI, AZ, NC, FLA).

Results from exit polls from key swing states show an abnormally large difference from voter results. In all cases, the exit polls favored Hillary Clinton whereas the voter count favored Donald Trump. The variance in the results was statistically highly improbable and consistently skewed to Donald Trump - "the red shift" effect. We need accountability and audit processes in place to evaluate the reliability and fairness of our electoral process. To deny a recount is to allow the continuation of an electoral process in this country that is susceptible to fraud and manipulation. We need to stand up and do the right thing and fight for the integrity of the electoral process.

Freedom of religion is enshrined in the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. For 240 years, our country has welcomed, embraced, and protected people of every faith. American Muslims have been part of the fabric of America since our founding. President-elect Trump has said that he would “absolutely” required Muslims to register in a government database. “They have to be. They have to be,” he said. We will not stand idly by while our fellow Americans are targeted by our government, in violation of their First Amendment rights and our deepest freedoms. Whatever our religion, ethnicity, national origin, or background, we pledge to sign up on the first day the registry is open.

We must send a STRONG message whenever hate or racial prejudice is exhibited. Tell your students and the country that Texas does not condone such divisive behavior. Protect our country from hate and division. Our country is called the UNITED States for a reason. Let's show them what unity is. Say NO to racial prejudice and suspend these students for their hateful display. Sports are about community; not hate.

Rep. Jason Spencer recently attempted to introduce legislation to make it a crime for women to wear a hijab in public. After pressure from within the GA House, he withdrew his disgusting legislation. We need to nip this behavior in the bud and set an example that fear mongering and targeting legislation against minorities will not be tolerated. Not in the United States of America. Not in 2016. Not after we have come this far... I believe it imperative to act NOW before President Elect Trump is sworn in and the resolve of some of the more narrow minded, racists leaders is strengthened. Weeds are easier to pluck before their roots grow deep.

President-elect Donald Trump has appointed white supremacist Stephen Bannon to a senior advisory position in the White House. David Duke calls the appointment "excellent." And it's a harbinger of things to come. Expect more awful appointees. Many Senate Democrats (from Dianne Feinstein to Harry Reid) have spoken out against Bannon. But the appointment itself does not require Senate approval. However, Trump will be making hundreds of executive branch and judicial appointments that do require Senate approval. And any Senator can put a hold on these nominations, for any reason. It is time for the Senate to take a firm stand against white supremacy, and block any all Trump appointees.
