Net Neutrality: Open Access to the Fast LaneI am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and work full-time as a Legal Assistant at a major Boise, Idaho law firm. I use the Internet extensively at work and at home to access personal bank and credit card accounts, bill payment, payroll information. Net neutrality should remain the standard.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tom Jones

Maintain Net neutrality and save the InternetI've used the Internet for over 20 years and the World Wide Web ever since its inception. It's been an integral part of my freelance work and research ever since. I couldn't live without it. I depend on unfettered access to research sources and online archives on a daily basis and most of these are hosted or supported by nonprofit organizations and various public and private institutions. Any disruption of my ability to access such information would certainly be harmful to my work. And frankly, it wouldn't benefit my non-work activities much either.41 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robert Bononno

Washington Post: Apologize for racist, xenophobia editorial!Stanford Professor Ian Morris argues that British colonialism in India eliminated "savagery," that genocides only killed two percent of the century's population, so they weren't that big a deal, and that obliterating the Native American population was justified since "people almost never give up their freedoms... unless forced to do so."8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Demand Progress

Educators for Fair Unbiased Internet AccessAs a high school chemistry teacher, my access to small, independent stories and videos is critical, if I am to convey both the excitement as well as the dangers of the world of chemistry. There's no way a litigation-adverse school district would allow me to demonstrate all the CRAZY chemistry-related things people people do!1,238 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Brian Little

Net-Neutrality at Risk: Don't be neutral about this attempt to privatize free and open access to...As a math and science teacher (recently retired) I was able to provide more current and thought-provoking activities that were web-based for my students as well as keep up with the latest ideas and methods in teaching content. I also was able to develop a website for my students that gave them an easy way to ask questions about content and assignments as well as keep track of their grades. I see all those benefits threatened by legislation to make the internet "pay-to-play." On a personal level I was able to travel on a work study trip to Guatemala and able to keep in touch with family through the internet. The cost of international phone calls was prohibitive and the modest fee for using computers very doable.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gail

Enshrine Net Neutrality in Pro-Consumer LawI grew up on the Internet, I work remotely--over the Internet--and most of the products I consume come from the Internet. This lifestyle was established on a long-standing Internet principal, from which only the foolish depart, that all desirably-received traffic be created, and treated equally.408 of 500 SignaturesCreated by David Berry
