stop them from taking away family reunion visits from NY prisonersPrisoners are still people who need rehabilitation. They still have family's and loved ones. These visits help them while in prison and unite them with there family. They deserve these to grow with life outside of prison so they come home a better person and ready for life again outside of those bars. Completely taking them away will take away something that keeps the prisoners on a good track and keeps them close with there families72 of 100 SignaturesCreated by crystal

Oust AramarkI do not believe human beings should be subjected to this type of treatment. They are incarcerated, for whatever reason, and are dependent upon their jailers to provide them food; Instead, they are given inadequate food that is not fit for human consumption.68 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joyce S Adams

Dear GOP, spend your money on positive change, not discrimination.I grew up in Sandy Utah and love my home town. I love the people and the beauty here. However, I am struggling with the idea of buying a home since I have to keep my pregnant wife indoors and tell my kids it isn't safe for them to go outside. When I saw the governor planning to spend 2 million dollars on something that has already been ruled unconstitutional, it made me sick. It is time to let him know how we feel and take the advice of Pope Francis by focusing on improvement and love rather than tearing other people down. Tax dollars should not be spent trying to defend discrimination. Spending this money would be a losing battle for the state, the governor, and the people of Utah. Put this money towards air quality incentives, wood burning conversions, electric car incentives, etc.350 of 400 SignaturesCreated by David Williams

One Law for all in the U.S.: the ConstitutionI have lived in many countries, including Iran, Egypt. In Muslim countries Sharia religious law often dictates the killing of Gays, persecution of Christians, Baha'is and Jews, subordination of women, etc. I do not want this or any other religious law to influence legal decisions in our country.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dennis Trisker

LET IT STAND, GOVERNOR!In 2004, Utahns passed by ballot measure an amendment to the state constitution that bans same sex marriage. On December 20, 2013, a federal judge in Utah declared that ban to be unconstitutional under the 14th Amendment. But Utah Governor Gary Herbert has directed the Utah Attorney General's office to appeal that decision. In addition, the conservative Sutherland Institute has started an online petition asking people to "support the critical importance of traditional marriage to the health and success of our society." Seventeen states have already decided, by court order or citizen ballots, to allow equal rights to the LGBT community, including the right to marry. Please help us show the Governor and the Sutherland Institute that they are simply out of touch with reality and that the majority of Utahans think we should embrace the 21st century and allow equal rights to everyone. Please sign OUR petition that is aligned with our Constitutional rights.46,870 of 50,000 SignaturesCreated by Tim Wagner

Listen to Catholic students, stop firing gay teachersThis week, the beloved vice principal at Eastside Catholic School in Washington state was ousted after he got married to another man. Sadly, similar incidents have been happening at Catholic schools across America. But this time was different, because hundreds of high-school students walked out of class and held a rally outside to demand that the Catholic archdiocese reinstate their vice principal. The students' courageous protest is already making headlines. Students at other schools are holding their own protests in solidarity and alumni are threatening to withhold their donations. It's time for the Catholic Church to make good on Pope Francis' words by changing its unjust and discriminatory employment policies.448 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Michael Sherrard, Faithful America
