Same-sex marriage and yes it affects me I would one day like to get married.

Not all religions are accepted or tolerated in Lisle Senior High School. The religious headgear of the Pastafarian religion has been deemed disruptive and not appropriate in the school. The fact that a student is forbidden to go to his/her classes with the official headgear of the Pastafarian faith is intolerable and ignorant. This intolerance needs to be removed from the school and the religious must be allowed to be worn during the school day.

Marriage equality should be granted to all loving couples. Denying marriage equality to these couples will have immediate effects how they file their taxes, how they obtain healthcare and the future of their families.

As detailed by a report of the Oklahoma Commission to Study the Race Riot of 1921, Greenwood after the riot was “a blackened landscape of vacant lots and empty streets, charred timbers and melted metal, ashes and broken dreams. Where the African American commercial district once stood was now a ghost town of crumbling brick store fronts and the burned-out bulks of automobiles. Gone was the Dreamland and the Dixie, gone was the Tulsa Star and the black public library, gone was the Liberty Cafe and Elliott & Hooker’s clothing store, H.L. Byars’ cleaners and Mabel Little’s beauty salon. Gone were literal lifetimes of sweat and hard work, and hard-won rungs on the ladder of the American Dream. Gone, too, were hundreds of homes, and more than a half-dozen African American churches, all torched by the white invaders. Nearly ten-thousand Tulsans, practically the entire black community, was now homeless." As justice was never delivered, H.R. 98 is a bill to reopen the case for redress. Redress to families affected by the Tulsa Race Riot is widely supported by civil rights scholars and academics who study the topic of reparations. New Jersey's own Rep. Chris Smith is at it again. A committee in Congress is going to debate his anti-choice bill that could force sexual-assault survivors who choose abortion to prove to the IRS that the assault occurred. We don’t want New Jersey’s fingerprints on this kind of anti-woman policy! If it passes, women and families across the country will have elected officials from the Garden State to blame. Rep. Smith only represents New Jersey’s 4th congressional district, but Chris Christie, as governor, represents the whole state. That’s why we're calling on Gov. Christie to denounce Rep. Smith’s rape audit bill and say it doesn’t represent the values of New Jersey.

Every day, millions of children in India wake up with nothing to look forward to except hours of back-breaking labour working everywhere from stone quarries to carpet factories to rice mills. Children as young as 5 years-old are kept from school, forced to work 7 days a week for up to 18 hours a day and end up with crippling injuries, respiratory disorders and chronic pain. Thankfully, the Indian Parliament is considering legislation called the “Child and Adolescent Labour Abolition Bill ”. This legislation would put an end to the enslavement of children in India but it risks not passing without a demonstration of mass public support. For every day the bill is delayed, several children remain at risk of being bought and sold to work in unimaginable conditions of sex slavery, bonded labour and domestic servitude. Call on the Indian Parliament to immediately pass the “Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Bill” and end child slavery in India.

Florida’s tomato farms supply 50% of all U.S. fresh tomatoes but have also been called America’s ‘ground zero for slavery.’ Countless workers held against their will, threatened with violence and forced to haul hundreds of heavy tomato buckets a day for little to no pay. Thankfully, a new solution called the Fair Food Program has been proven successful. The Fair Food Program is working to enforce a policy of zero tolerance for slavery on tomato farms. But a major U.S. supermarket chain, Publix Super Markets, is refusing to support the Fair Food Program. Publix continues to buy tomatoes from growers that are not partners of the Fair Food Program and where workers still toil beyond the reach of its proven protection from modern slavery. Will Publix Super Markets, which prides itself on making Fortune’s ‘Best Companies to Work For’ list, continue to turn a blind eye and give excuses, or will it leverage its vast market influence and lead the way in cleaning up slavery in the tomato supply chain once and for all?

There are too many of us dying and in jail. Murder and slavery should not be an option to population control. They don't need us anymore they have so many new people to control. We can't hurt them more than they have already hurt themselves. So why fear us? Actually we need $8,000,000,000 to complete the move.

Instead of apologizing and rectifying the situation, the Government is circling the wagons and stonewalling. This man needs to be compensated for the economic repercussions of this disasterous and ridiculous decision immediately. The Government has deprived him of his livelihood. We cannot allow such injustice to thrive.

My partner and I are both KY residents. We want to stay in KY and have our family. But until we can achieve the same marital status as everyone else we will never feel as though KY recognizes us as equal citizens. Please allow same sex marriage in KY so all of us in the LGBT community can be true equal KY residents. We pay our taxes, work, and help KY to grow. We deserve the same as everyone else.

It has been seven months since government contractor Edward Snowden exposed the NSA’s highly questionable—and often illegal—methods of surveillance. He is still in Russia under the watch of Vladimir Putin, eluding extradition back to the United States where he faces serious criminal charges. As the New York Times put it in an editorial this week, it is time to grant clemency to Edward Snowden: "Considering the enormous value of the information he has revealed, and the abuses he has exposed, Mr. Snowden deserves better than a life of permanent exile, fear and flight. He may have committed a crime to do so, but he has done his country a great service." Sign our petition, urging President Obama to grant clemency to Edward Snowden.

My friends who receive TANF benefits are being singled out for drug tests. It's only fair to ask the Governor and Legislature, who receive taxpayer money in the form of their salaries, to be tested also.
