Those who are supporters of the defendant, George Zimmerman, have gotten out of hand in 2013. What they are doing is just outright harassment and intimidation. They have crossed the line with their rhetoric and intimidation. The supporters have continually reported their harassment and bullying and nothing gets done. Screen shots of their many Community Pages were sent to Facebook Corporate and HLN TV, nothing is done. Screen shots of Trayvon Martin supporter’s comments and pictures have been seen on their pages and are being used to harass, intimidate, and spew racial epithets. They are preventing us from speaking our 1st Amendment rights “Freedom of Speech” in attempts to make most fear them. It gets so bad that they scare people off these support pages. When we defend ourselves against them we are suspended between 1-30 days. It's not enough that smear campaigns are being created by using social network Facebook in creating hate pages against the victim Trayvon Martin, threatening his family and badgering Witness #8 (ongoing). You have one person that I and most Trayvon Martin Supporters feel he should be investigated by the FBI for hate crimes against Black Americans. I have copies of his comments with racial epithets! We don’t even know if that is his real name. There is also a Facebook Community page where they gather to make plans to harass and intimidate us. They have spammed our post to from one page to their page to ridicule and demean us. They have continually harassed people, hacked peoples accounts, made fake petitions on change.org by the same person who spew racist epithets, and others who may have leaked people's home address, people's phone numbers, leaked people's pictures, leaked kids photos, stolen pictures, created fake profiles, created fake Facebook Community Pages, edited people's pictures of the Martins, their attorneys, and have cyber bullied Trayvon Martin Supporters and their families. What is sad is about all of this is you can’t block them because Facebook community pages don’t have that feature to block. They feel they are invincible from being suspended and blocked by Facebook. They use fake names and profiles so we can’t find their original page to block. I advocate in Domestic Violence and Rape and this needs to get people's awareness of what is going on in Social Media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and etc. This needs to stop before someone gets hurt by one of them finding out our real address, that is a terrifying feeling. I have put statements on my Facebook Profile that it is against Facebook to spam my posts, pictures, and profile. I have shut them down completely letting my family and friends are the only ones to see them. Somebody needs to listen to us so they can put a stop to this. We tried writing Facebook Corporate and gave them 12 pages of screen shots and links. We have sent reports to the FBI via their link. No one is helping us. This is one more try to get Facebook and the FBI’s attention. This first Petition was up about this subject in 12/2012. We need to reach the Trayvon supporters to start taking screen shots, save them, save your messages and send them to us. I am hoping the news stations see who how horrific this is getting as the June 10th Trial is near. This has now gotten dangerous and the more we allow it, the more it's going to happen. We want worldwide attention. We want people from the outside to know our pain. The supporters of the defendant in the Trayvon Martin shooting have made being on Facebook an UNENJOYABLE experience. Is it appropriate for a pastor to attack the Christian faith of the president of the United States? Or accuse an entire political party of pursuing an "agenda worthy of the antichrist"? Apparently the leaders of Virginia's Republican Party think so - they just nominated pastor E.W. Jackson to be the state's next lieutenant governor. E.W. Jackson has said that "the idea that Barack Obama is a Christian is laughable" and that Obama "sees the world from a Muslim perspective." He also describes gays and lesbians as "perverted" and "degenerate" and says that "there is a direct connection" between homosexuality and pedophilia. So far, the party's gubernatorial nominee, Ken Cuccinelli, is campaigning alongside Jackson, despite Jackson's long record of hateful and extremist rhetoric. We've got to show Ken Cuccinelli that this shameful misrepresentation and exploitation of Christian faith is no way to run for public office.

My sister and many of my close friends are gay/lesbian and they deserve all the rights and privileges of marriage. Their children deserve to have their parents be married and seen as equal citizens under the law. It is a matter of full civil rights for all.

This is not a third world country. We are suppose to be fair and civilized society. What in the world has happened to this once great nation! These people deserve a fair trial NOW!!

A Republican Texas Judge has ordered a lesbian couple to live apart or give up custody of their children. According to Think Progress, Judge John Roach of McKinney, Texas has given Page Price 30 days to move out of the home she shares with Carolyn Compton and Compton’s two children from a previous marriage because he does not approve of Compton and Price’s “lifestyle.” Roach has placed a “morality clause” in Compton’s divorce papers, which forbids Compton from having anyone she is not related to “by blood or marriage” in her home past 9:00 p.m. if the children are present. Same sex marriage is illegal in Texas, so by law, Compton cannot live with Price if she wishes to retain custody of her children. Compton said that she and Price have been together for three years. Compton’s ex-husband rarely bothers to see the children and was previously arrested on charges of third-degree felony stalking in 2011, charges that he was able to plea down to criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. In a post on Facebook, Price wrote that Roach had inserted the morality clause into the divorce agreement when Compton’s ex-husband Joshua Compton attempted to gain custody of the children in 2011. The judge wrote that he disapproved of the two women’s “lifestyle.” “Our children are all happy and well adjusted. By his enforcement, being that we cannot marry in this state, I have been ordered to move out of my home,” Price wrote. The two women are working with attorneys to figure out what steps they can take to fight the state’s notoriously conservative court system. Ken Upton Jr., senior staff attorney for Lambda Legal’s Dallas office, told the Dallas Voice newspaper that morality clauses are a holdover from a time when judges tried to keep people with children from living together outside of marriage. Courts often insert the clauses without telling the people involved, particularly in backward, conservative areas like Collin County, Texas. “What the clause has become is an extra burden on gay people because they’re no more likely to violate it than straight people,” Upton told the Voice. “It’s a problem that continues with homophobia.”

Michael Blea and Nick Blea have been together for almosot a year and they truly do care for eachother. Ive never seen the most perfect couple until now. Nicks mother won't let them see eachother cause she doestn like Michael or the fact that her son is gay. I believe they should be able to see eachother.

It seems Pennsylvania is way WAY behind public opinion and the entire eastern US regarding legalizing same sex marriage. Every state north of our capital, Washington, DC has legalized gay marriage except New Jersey (but civil unions are recognized) and PA, where legal gay marriages are not recognized and our state says "Marriage is only between one man and one woman". Its time PA got in line with other NE states and legalize gay marriage!

Barbara Rothweiler, Ph.D.,a licensed counselor and principal of St Pius X School in New Mexico, is refusing to allow a student "Damien" to walk as a "male" at his graduation because he has "female" marked on his birth certificate -- even though his teachers, friends, and family all recognize and interact with him as a male. Forcing one to express a gender identity that is contrary to what one chooses to epxress is a clear violation of the ethics and professional license she holds, and has potential for causing long-lasting, and potentially irreparable psychological damage to Damien. As such, she should be disciplined by the New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board, as well as each professional organization in which she holds membership for violating ethical and professional requirements of her license by refusing to recognize a St. Pius X's student's gender identity. Even though all his classmates, teachers, and family know Damian as a male. the St Pius X administration says that because he has "female" marked on his birth certificate -- despite the fact that he is now legally Damian and not Brandi -- he still must walk in a girl's cap and gown for graduation. Some of the prisoners at Guantanimo Bay who have been held without trial for more than a decade have been on a hunger strike for over 100 days. They are being force fed. to keep them alive . For humanitarian reasons it is time to resolve this situation , close Guantanimo and release these prisoners to their families and home countries.

This petition is about Reebok sweatshops. In China they are forced to work up to 72 hours a week when the company's law is about 40 hours a week and China's is about 44 hours.We are demanding better working conditions and higher pay. People are dying and being injured, they need to have more money to maintain their family.

Not all LGBT families can legally marry or adopt children or get to keep their children and if we don't make that change now, they will still continue to lose those rights and that's not fair.

As a transgender woman on SSDI/SSI and receiving Medicare, I am often denied the medical care I need as the woman I now am. That and in many states, I cannot get/ keep my current female designation on my driver's license; all because the SSA will NOT change my birth sex designation unless I show proof of sexual reassignment surgery. Several states, including Indiana and Ohio, now require just a letter from a licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, or MD to do so on a transgender individual's driver's license. Same with the US Passport. Rather than require proof of sexual reassignment surgery as they currently do at the SSA ; a letter verifying the individual is living " full time" in their chosen gender from a licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, or MD should be sufficient.
