  • Anti-NRA Alliance for Ban on Assault Weapons and TAX on Ammunition
Gun Violence is epidemic in the US and the National Rifle Association holds far too much power over Congress. Poll after poll shows that Americans support gun control. Let's take back power, defeat the NRA, and vow to campaign for politicians who rally to protect Americans and their children. We can stop the NRA by building a national Anti-NRA Alliance. Sign this petition pledge to support legislators who oppose gun violence and who support restrictions on gun sales and high taxes on ammunition.

  • Tax Guns, Fund School Security
I want my kids to come home safe at the end of each school day. With education budgets squeezed everywhere, schools don't have the resources to adequately protect our children from tragic events like the mass killing in Newtown, Connecticut. We need a revenue stream to secure our children's safety.

  • Put prayer back into our schools, our babies needs to know how to pray.
Lets put prayed back into the schools. If childrens know how to pray they would not pick up a gun. The book of their faith will teach them right from wrong.

  • Repeal the Second Amendment
Whereas the Second Amendment was crafted at a time when the U.S. had neither national standing army nor the States a national guard; whereas the frontier and wilderness conditions of 18th- and 19th-century America no longer apply; whereas the authors of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution had no concept of the types of 21st-century weaponry that is readily available to private citizens: it is long past time to repeal the Second Amendment.

  • Protecting our children from assault weapons
I own two pre-schools and have two little granddaughters the age of the Sandy Hook victims. I am outraged at the NRA's proposal to put armed guards in every school instead of common sense gun regulation. This petition is an attempt to take their position to the ultimate level.

  • REPEAL THE SECOND AMENDMENT
My home was the target of a 16 year old with a high powered rifle. Fortunately, no one was home. Bullets came through the living room window and out through the back wall of the house.

keeping families together. My sister is disabled and a mother of 4 and they are deporting her husband and father of the children. I feel if they have children here they should be able to stay and work to take care of the family they have here and see to it they have a place to live and food to eat. People fus because their are to many on welfer but they are send home the men that keep the women off of it. I feel that in order to make things better we must first make it rite.

As a parent, as a teacher, and as an American who supports our rights, I feel our most important right is to provide our children with a safe and violence-free life.

  • Social Security Benefit Cuts
Social security benefits have been paid by the workforce and their employers for years and the government has mismanaged these funds to the extent that they say they are now going to have to reduce benefits to keep the program solvent. Why is it always the people who can least afford a "Pay" cut, the ones who have to bail out the nation because of reckless political spending.
