I think the Electoral College is unconstitutional. Outside of six states your vote for president is worthless. I honestly believe more people would vote from both parties if it was a popular vote. This is not colonial times with separate 'states' each with its own common specific interest. This is modern America with a vast segregation of all demographics across the entire country. I am sure that a number of people don't bother to vote unless there is a hot local issue.

All citizens should be allowed to vote all states should have the same requirments,all the states should have at least 3 weeks of early voting including sundays.

The goal of this petition is to persuade the MTA Metro-North Railroad President, the MTA Long Island Rail Road President, the MTA New York City Transit President, the MTA Bus Company President, and the MTA Police Chief to create an official photography policy for the entire MTA system. Since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, numerous people have been harassed by several MNRR, LIRR, NYCT, MTABC, and MTAPD employees/officers about photography and videography being illegal. Also, there have been many non-commercial photographers and videographers that have had tripods and were told by the MTAPD to not use them (I have had that experience first-hand). Many of the officers have said that you need a permit to have a tripod; however, there is no official policy that says what's right and what's wrong. After having numerous issues with employees and police officers harassing me and arresting my good friend Gregory Grice for legally taking pictures of railroad property, it's time we take a stand for our rights as photographers, videographers, and train enthusiasts! There is a real danger of tampering of votes cast on electronic voting machines, which are created and programed by private corporations. I've read of several instances where I.T. people have deliberately compromised the programs, in an effort to show how easily voting results can be skewed. Harper's Magazine (Oct 25, 2012) ran an article by V.Collier entitiled "How to Rig an Election". It was chilling. This issue should be at the top of our Political List!

As a Gerontology student, I am deeply troubled by the largely ignored reports of discrimination and abuse that Gay elders have been subjected to in Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities.

Pflugerville High School is denying one of our beloved Pagan community members her right to take her son out of school for a religious holy day. Samhain is a pagan holiday which is equivalent to New Year's. Texas Board of Education has stated under code 25.087 that a school shall give an excused absence for a religious holy day, including the day of as well as a day prior and after for travel. This goes for any religion whether it be Christian, Jewish, Buddhism or Paganism and all that fall in between. They are denying a member of our community their rights. We need to stand together and show them that we are here, not going anywhere and we deserve the same Religious consideration as Christians do. This petition is to protect every citizens rights, mainly our second amendment " A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed". We the people will not give up our Right to bear arms!

All of the people are not being represented under the current county districting. For decades we have had this form of government. Having seven districts would provide for more participation by a more diverse group of representatives. It would eleminated the small controlled group government we currently have and provide a greater voice of all the people throughout our county. It would allow us to grow beyond the small mindedness we currently have governing our county.

Minnesota voters soundly rejected an attempt to write a ban on same-sex marriage into the Minnesota Constitution. It's time for marriage equality for all Minnesotans.
